The image had to be turned upside down? Most interesting. When I looked at that image from 27.com, the letters next to the circle seemed to be gibberish. Apparently this may warrant a closer look.

And I do believe that Shiska discounted 7499.com and lyca.com, quite vehemently, that it was not associated. Additionaly, I think it was mentioned that someone got a hold of the "owner" of said sites and that person claimed that it had nothing to do with the Halo 3 ARG.

Conspiracy?

There's a healthy dose of spec and investigation about 27.com at http://perplexorum.com/showthread.php?t=1725.
NowPublic.com also did a recap of the possibilities at http://www.nowpublic.com/ufo_unmasked_marketing_campaign_for_halo_3

There's no doubt anymore that this is an ARG, shouldn't it be moved to it's own forum?

When there are a number of threads discussing acceptably different topics, then it'll get its own forum. At this point it's still a trail... there have been entire trails that have taken place in a single thread, witha ridiculous page count. Razz At UF, just 'being' an ARG doesn't warrant a dedicated forum. It's more about keeping information organized than status.

the symbol that we have found behind the poem seems to be incomplete. plus if you look at the simbol and the simbol that is at the begining of halo 3's webpage when it is loading it is simular.

That image is called ar.jpg

Ar like a pirate, lol.

Why the hell is it 5700x3200 pixel image. I still think it has nothing to do with the "game".

That image is so pixelated that it just screams something hidden in it...but again, we aren't sure that 27.com is part of this so I will leave it to the experts. Razz

That's where the ar.jpg at 27.com is from.

It is without a doubt not forerunner in origin.

It is found on this site: http://www.ufocasebook.com/unmannedprobeanalysis.html

The credit is to someone on Bungie who figured it out last night who's post I can't track down.

From the email: "Yet a Journey must commence"

Journey is capitalized, everywhere the "Great Journey" is mentioned it is also capitalized...is this significant? Is the email referencing the Great Journey?

You know how dogs pee on stuff to 'mark their territory'?

Maybe bungie or m$ or 42 or whoever is doing this, is marking places where the game is going to take place. What if the whole look for signs thing is telling us to go find forerunner symbols, and where you find them, that is in game. Could 27.com be in game b/c of this symbol?

lyca has been ruled out, but is 27 part of lyca?

I think it is time for a fact check.
Anyone think that they have all the facts so far and can just write that out for everyone to be on equal footing?
Things like the XBL chats are hoaxes and AR is only using bungie.net forums for direct communication so far.
Thanks!

It certainly is time someone compiled a list of known facts and facts under consideration to level out the playing field. Some questions are being asked that have been hypothesized about earlier.

Anybody, not at work, up to this herculean task?
