I got the actionscript from the halo3.com site. If anyone wants me to post it or send it to them to go through as well, just let me know.
I am now going through it for clues or triggers to other events on the page and what those might be.
I will be updating the forum on my progress.

Why? Am I missing something? Question

No.

But THIS is the very reason the Wiki shouldn't be broadcast outside.

Tsondie21, does this have anything to do with the topic? If not, please refrain from injecting it into the thread.

I'm beginning to think that AR is the moniter of the arc. The Halo 3 anouncement trailer was the arc responding to the Halo installation 04 activating and putting all the rings on standby... So the arc is on standby aswell. AR's post on the integrity of the arc installation. It is confirmed.

But from when? The ark has been on Earth for a looong time and in the posts of the AR it mentions compensating for "relativistic effects". Does this mean it is from the future, or perhaps it adjusts for these effects because it has been sleeping for so long and needs to calculate time based on stellar drift?

Yep... common sense has been pointing to this for some time now and the recent things AJ is saying are hinting to it also, hopefully he will move onto something more productive instead of further hints of who he is.

Could mean his calculations are off and he sent (or is sending) into the past, via a wormhole or whatever. The reason why he is talking to us now isn't really clear or known right now. This is not, however, the first AI from the future we've talked to in a halo arg. Alteast he seems whole, and not a fragment of himself.

I ripped through the code, and as expected, there was not anything of great value in there. Everything was labeled very generically.
But I do know that in each server is a multimedia message(s), as there were calls to video and audio clips as well as text via xml documents. So, the text will be released on unlock of the servers along with some video or audio files depending on the server unlocked.
At least we know what to expect.

Nope, it's the latest stupidity from the Intarwebs... linking to a Rick Astley vid to "Rick roll" them. Never heard of it before today, it'll probably be forgotten before the week's done.

Could someone post a screencap of the login box? I'm unable to see it on both my PC and Mac, using Safari, Firefox, and IE Sad. Thanks.

Here is how it breaks down:

Hours in a year, according to Google = 8,765.81277

Hours passed since activation as cited by AdjutantReflex = 871,803,909+-384

871,803,909 / 8,765.81277 = 99454.999995396890047880865244627

Rounded, that's roughly 99455 years since activation.

100,000 - 99455 = 545

We're in year 2007. The events in the Halo story arc take place in the year 2552.

2552 - 2007 = 545

Cool

Can someone explain this to me? If AR was adjusting for the current date/time, wouldn't the date of activation be 2007-99455?

As referenced earlier, the login box no longer appears. Unless someone was quick enough to grab a snapshot before it disappeared into the ether.

thebruce : It's likely the refreshing happened while they were updating the website. The password prompt may have occurred because of requests being made to files the server locked as they were being copied... just a web server safety mechanism, nothing intentional.

I didn't catch the login prompt, but if it was an NT style login, not a flash login, then it was the flash making http requests through the browser, which caused the login box. The login is gone now, which makes sense, since the site has been updated.
