man you guys are fast... Cool the wiki is tracking the countdown page, so if it changes at all, feel free to update the page.

g'night.
I expect to see another 20 pages by the morning Razz

Thanks for all your work. Man, it's nice to be reading another thebruce wiki... (:

Also, it's good to be back in the saddle. I'm so dang pumped!

Yep haven't seen thebruce wiki since I left after Ilovebees. At least the summer at work wont be too boring.

Also has anyone gone through the links page here http://206.16.223.63/links.html, I missed about 20 pages and with only 2 threads I think a lot might get lost in the shuffle.

I've updated my FAQ to cover today's events, and also included a 1-page summary of what happened today.

While I'm thinking about, has anyone started a discussion on what the email means? I've got some thoughts, but don't want to start repeating others. I've read through all the pages so far, but over the course of a few days and with so much information, it's difficult to remember... (:

I attempted to start some discussion on the wiki, but it's apparently locked (which is understandable).

*edit* - Also, slight typo in the re-write of the email image. The last would of line 3 should be "souls," not "sould."

*edit #2* Fixed it.

Haha yeah we haven't got much to work on anyway. Seems like most people have gone to sleep for that matter.

I think there's quite a bit to work on, just we don't have a chance to really dig in now that we've gotten it so late (which means, we had a lot of hoopla when we found it, and the hoopla out-lasted our ability to remain conductive and coherent; especially on IRC).

Since this is my first ARG, I'm not really sure of the methods involved in solving an ARG, or the best places to look for stuff. Can someone provide me with some reading material to help further my skills?

You need only look at the top of the page. In the upper-left there's a box with links to guidelines and an ARG Player Tutorial.

Math is fun.

okay, trying to understand when the timer is counting down to.

7(seconds) for each of the 7 cycles = 49 +14(cause of the odd counting)=63 second/minute. Same system = 63 minutes an hour(or 3969 seconds an hour) we now know there are 33 hours in a day, so 3969 * 33 = 130977(seconds a day or 2182.95 minutes a day or 36.3825 hours a day)

36.3825 * 7(just over the number of days left) = 254.6775
254.6775 / 24 = 10.6115625. There, practically 10 days would make it Sunday the 25th, right?(middle of the night, 25th) I am pretty good at math but I make a lot of arithmetic mistakes, so someone double check this(and maybe make sense of the fractions... I'm tired, here. 6,115,625/10 million = x/24 = hours. Maybe you have a better approach. Either way looks like something is gonna go down sometime at Sunday(I can't be as far off as a day, can I?)

36.3825 * 6(days left) = 218.295
218.295 / 24 = 9.095625. There, almost nine days would make it saturday the 24th, right? I am pretty good at math but I make a lot of arithmetic mistakes, so someone double check this(and maybe make sense of the fractions... I'm tired, here. 95,626/a million = x/24 = hours. Maybe you have a better aproach. Either way looks like something is gonna go down sometime at saturday(I can't as far off as a day, can I?)

Yup base 7. But this begs the question what kind of a time format is it following 60 seconds 60 minutes 24 hours 365 days?

Yeah, it's just following base 60, which makes it a lot easier to calculate the actual time it's counting down to.

I did some calculations, and the countdown in base 60 time is for 5 days 11 hours 5 minutes x seconds as of now. It's 12:54pm on the 15th where I am (Sydney, Australia), which means the countdown finishes at midnight on the 21st.

Does everyone have the same time? Or is it running off our computer clocks?

Basically, it's just counting down using standard base 60 time, but displaying each of the numbers in base 7.
