 [RESOURCE]Looking for Another ARG?
A brief explanation of games that are in progress and how to find an ARG

I noticed a few people mentioning in posts that they were interested in looking into other ARGs. Hopefully, this will serve as a good guide for those players looking for more--realize the puzzle difficulty will ramp up dramatically for most of these.

Rowan's Guide to Choosing an ARG does a great job of telling you how to select a game.

ARGNet and the ARGNetcast
When new games come out, ARGNet will generally post a message about the game. You can sign up for an email notification list with ARGNet for when big games come out.

There is also a weekly netcast--the last one spent most of the episode discussing recently launched games. Listen to it Here.

Disclaimer: I am one of the staff writers at ARGNet, but it honestly is really useful.

Current Games
I would highly suggest you listen to the netcast (mentioned above) and peruse the forums to find something that seems right for you, but here are some brief summaries of running games.

Most "big" stories have wikis or other online resources to help you catch up with the game. Check the stickied threads in UF discussions to find where those resources are.

Year Zero - An alternate reality game related to the launch of the recent Nine Inch Nails CD: Trent Reznor is playing a major creative role in this project, and refers to the CD launch and story as part of the same story. (Link)
Eldritch Errors - Deals with the works of HP Lovecraft through interaction with online security communities. (Link)
Deus City - Communication with people from the future with religious and dystopic societal overtones. (Link)
Sammeeeees 2 - Weird stuff happens with cults that have names that use a lot of vowels. (Konamouse, elaborate? I can never explain Sammeeeees). One of the writers for Lonelygirl15 is behind this project. (Link)
Battle for Promicin - ARG based on the 4400 involving the choice to use a drug that can either give you special powers or kill you. (Link)

Newer Stuff I Don't Know Much About
Love Nevr Dies - Some form of gangster / kidnapping story.
Gleemax - Magic: the Gathering ARG about some big brain asking people to send pictures
Choose Your Revolution - Some guy is releasing a "revolutionary new website" and wants people to hear about it.
Halo 3 Promotion - Every few months we hear about something that might be the next "I Love Bees" to help launch Halo 3. This is the most recent iteration / possibility.
I Believe in Harvey Dent - Promotion for "The Dark Knight" movie that is either over or waiting for additional information.

I'll go back and edit in links later, but if I didn't link it you'll find it (and others) in the "News and Rumors" tab. There's stuff I didn't cover--hopefully forum regulars will fill me in on what I missed.

Personally, I've been playing Deus City and having a grand old time. But ARGs are like any other kind of entertainment: you like stuff b/c of personal taste as much as anything else.

Thank you for this.

(I like your Hokusai, btw.)
