As someone who lived with a Rural Route address most of her life, I can tell you that isn't how it would be formed.

Ours was RR2 Box 5071.

However, these days I live near a "business mall" which is a fancy phrase for a bunch of garages and offices together in one complex. The street address is 177 for the building, and the "suites" are A, B, C, etc., making the whole address 177-CC for one of the "condos" they call them, as they can be purchased individually. I can easily see an industrial complex having an address like "22-RR Bibby St."

Besides, the post office did away with most Rural Routes in the early 80's. You have to live so far out of town your street may not even HAVE a name in order to get an RFD addy (Rural Free Delivery it's called).

Just my 2 cents....hope I didn't over spend my winnings!

I didn't make the A$$umption that the tape was dubbed. I used the A$$umption that the Audio portion was damaged (as well as the Video portion) and was skipping. That made me think the kidnapper said, "Grey Corner at 23-RR Bibby Street." So, I used the Bibby St address 'cuz it covered all the sounds I heard ... K, R, B(or V) and Y and the word Street

I also guessed Grant and the Cherry Street address, so as long as you all don't mind forfeiting your dough, I will be getting my $25k check any day now.

P.S. That antidote? Applebee's uses that for salad dressing.

no the video was dubbed over. we had the original copy of that video be4 the game even started. in the original the kidnapper said "Grey Corner" pretty clearly. now in this new one the it says "(cherry, curry, kirby, bibby) Street". and u say that u think its bibby street. but to me it wouldn't make sense to dub over an answer to replace it with another that will lead to the same answer.

street address
rr whatever

I live in the 'almost sticks" and there are a lot of RR (rural route) addresses around here and in NY state I know. However, I agree about it would not be formed correctly in that way and it could refer to a building specific abbreviation. I was only saying RR in an adress *usually* stands for Rural Route (as opposed to railway ? something?) and yes, they certainly do still exist.

re the dubbing issue/location: i'm sure it is going to turn out to be contraversial and hence they have owned up to the correct answer yet. I was wondering if anyone here remembers seeing different adrresses at the Zendorel site before the end of the contest? I am sure I saw different addresses the first time i viewed it.

ALSO.....i'm not all that interested in args and only found this siitte when looking for sonia's blog, but.......people here are very pleasant and civillized and that is really cool...

I'm totally wondering if Cherry Street is the correct answer at all.

Why?

Because in the video clip Grant says that no one will ever find the connection between him and the location.

His connection with Zendorel was well known as was Z holdings.

Just a thought.

If you were directing this to me Kristina, I'll just say that my answer was so far removed from any I've seen.

On the other hand, this is just the sort of thing a not-as-smart-as-he-thinks-he-is crook might say. And Grant was not exactly the most brilliant criminal strategist the world has ever known. If you're trying to set someone else up for your crime, leave her camcorder at the scene of the crime, by all means. But fer cryin' out loud, take your gun with your fingerprint on it with you!!1!

Yes, I see that too. Christina also said that hopefully we should find SOME clues in the video. Emphasizing "SOME." Audio. There were several.

christina's attitude

I have not received any emails all day from christina, max, sonia or kinlan. I'm quite miffed at crhistina. She was all over me during the crisis, now it's like she can't find time to even say "hi".

I can sort of understand sonia, since she's on the lam. Although, I'm sure she finds time to go into coffee shops Coffee

but christina and I had become quite close (so I thought), Wink

Christina Email

This is from the Official Rules section of the SMH website under WINNER NOTIFICATION-

"Potential Winners will be notified by email on or about June 26, 2007"

There are people here suggesting that they got a resonse from Christina that there answer was right. Well they are lying. NO ONE will find out if there answers were right or wrong for at least another 2 weeks.
