[SPEC] Predictions on who did it and where Andrew is
WAS "My guess on Day 8 -- DAY 8 SPOILER"

Okay, I think I have both the answers for Day 8. If you do not want to know, DO NOT PUT YOUR CURSOR OVER THE SPOILERS!

The person behind Andrew's abduction:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Grant Tenbrook - If you have read any of the articles where he has made statements, you will notice that he is constantly referring to Freevira and it's release. Motive: He is itching to make big money (hence the referral of a "flood of investments" at this web address: http://www.voicedailynews.com/freevira.php) Plus, when you go the Akarm site, and you are able to pull up the fingerprints section, if you have made notes, you will notice that the ID number 00927009 (which WAS Grant Tenbrook's) has now been switched to 00927019. The new name for 00927009 is Robert Johnson, which we have heard nothing about and he has no place in this case. Otherwise, I would suspect that there would be more clues about him, but instead, the clues point towards Grant.

The place where Andrew is being held:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you are on day 8, you should obviously have the video of the kidnappers being murdered. After the murderer, or Grant Tenbrook, gives the kidnappers the money, one of the kidnappers says what sounds like, "Terry Street." Now, here's the tricky part. If you read the bio of Grant on the Akarm website, you will notice that it says that he is affiliated with Zendoral Ltd. go to www.zendorel.com , click on "Investments" and you will notice that there is a "Cherry Street" address. To me, it was obvious that he was saying "Cherry Street" not Terry Street. How odd that there just happens to be an Investor on "Cherry Street" (which sounds like Terry Street) and Grant just happened to be recently put on the Board of Directors.

I am not responsible if you just happen to put your mouse over the spoiler. These are my thoughts, and I thought it would be nice to help some people out in any way I can. I am not 100% positive that these answers are correct, but they seemed to make sense.

One thing I have to say is I'm glad this is a fake investigation because the clues suck. This isn't even close to a real investigation LOL. But it was all in fun and I had a good time.

EDIT: Changed topic so this can be used as a general predictions thread. --Phaedra

EDIT: Corrected url. --varin

Agree

I tend to agree with you on this one. This is the only clue (last one) that you really had to keep old records because the password changed and the names on the prints changed. Grant probably altered the security password so that the new names would appear. The address was easy.
Good luck everyone!

I'm a little confused here...when I first went to the fingerprint site the other day, there were 15 prints visible to me. (Still are.) I went through every one, & copied the names for Sonia & Andrew, which were 4 & 10. I kept putting in numbers though & 00927019 came back to Glen's name. The fingerprint that matches the clue given is not that number. It's the one listed as Robert Johnson, as posted in the first post here.

Did they switch Glen's number right after the site for the fingerprints came out? I'm confused. Sad

well that was odd the last day answer?

very odd the where was normal puzzle like they always use but the who is a different story. if you do the finger print thing you get the guy posted above but we dont even know who he is very odd dont you think?
however if you follow the logic then its our old friend but he now has no prints on file
if you use a program to look at the voice from the press conference and the vid today its very close like 96% match so this makes it even more confusing .
also as to the fact that the "old finger prints" matched our friend here is the problem with that they changed the prints BEFORE we were "allowed"in to them so by that logic then that whole old finger print thing should be a red herring and set to lead those that got it early in the wrong direction.. who knows if they are that devious Smile
anyone think the reason they give you 2 chances is that they want bolth names the one by finger print and the one we all thought it was.

ahhh. mabey i am reading too much into it oh well good luck to all Wink

I want to agree... butttt

I want to agree with the fact that it is Grant and well I do agree on the location... I just can't be 100% because the old fingerprint information we are using might not have been available to the people who were following day by day and weren't looking ahead... so in making everything fair, can we really rely on the fact that the old data is what is current with the game?
Thoughts?

I found this discussion after I entered my TWO SMH guesses
my feelings on the fingerprint and Grant

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I got the Cherry st thing... and I matched the fingerprint. I read your comments about the print change. I hadn't found this thread until after I submitted my final answers. I've been following day by day through the SMH site only. As soon as I found the backdoor at AKARM, I played around and found the fingerprint calculator. I copied them all down as well, and Grant's was indeed changed. So, I don't know how early you guys had the fingerprint info, but I had it legit and knew it was changed....
I won't say what my final answers were, but at this stage, it's untelling what could happen. Good Luck all y'all.

Address
...am I overthinking?

Do you think they want just the street address or are they expecting us to come up with a town, state and zip? Just a thought!

ARGH.

Those who submitted already - did you submit a street number as well as the name?

I don't think they want a town, state and zip, just the street address. At least I hope so! Street address was all I entered.

On another note, I also found this site early on in the contest.. Like the first day. I've mostly been lurking and the people here have been fantastic in their sleuthing. I've really enjoyed following the clues on the SMH site and figuring out what my answer would be and then coming over here and seeing if what I figured out matched what the majority of people here found. I was amazed that first day when I saw how far you folks had gotten before the contest even started! Laughing Kudos to all of you super-sleuths!

Fingerprints

I am on the East Coast, and I have just come in from work for lunch before I go back for my afternoon shift. I checked the employee fingerprints and:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Grant Tenbrook is back to 00927009

It is 1:37PM where I am.
