This is the background image from Avery Fane's blog.

There is what appears to be Japanese Kanji in that pic. Can anyone decipher it? It's running horizontal and it repeats. Could be something. Could be nothing. Worth looking at, I think, as the image also has a frequency wave in it.

whoah, hey, behind the curtain stuff here, we are NOT supposed to be at the http://www.akqa.com/ site!
That looks like the puppet masters there, they accidently left a dev copy of the SOA in the open.

If the people responsible for this ARG are so foolish as to make, essentially, NEW trailheads, I'm backing away slowly, because there's no way to make sense of anything, and no way to determine what is legit and what is bunk.

There is, of course, the (IMHO scant) possibility that this page may be referenced in the -future- by a canon source, making it legit. Until then, we aren't supposed to be there, and while it may be fun to stay a step ahead of PM's, it is -no- fun to break a game.

Alright, that is understandable, and like I said, I did have doubts. The last person to post on his blog should clear up if he actually knows anything or not, but I agree; for now let's only focus on what has been shown to us directly from the main websites.

Not to beat a dead horse further but, there are subtle *differences* in the new akqa page and the direct (original?) 206 page for SOTA. A few images seem to have been changed, as well as the hop to the .63 IP. Maybe the akqa page is a kind of portfolio for akqa (they are web designers?).

That's what I thought, and if you go through their site, it's obvious they are the PMs for this ARG. I just wish they'd hidden it better. We shouldn't have seen this, I'm sure of that.

Apparently someone decided to post on the kid's blog about this, so hopefully Bungie or whoever will take it down or at least hide it better. And now that I'm looking at this blog, the kid's been talking about SOTA since April 11th or something! No one else knew about it that early...

True. There's this Avery Fane site and blog, and then this http://blog.myspace.com/two222222 one. I think both should be ignored until a solid link is made to them from canon. However, if a link is made to either of these two people from the main websites such as SOTA, then these two people link to each other since they're on each other's friends lists.

Anyone been to lyca.com yet? If it wasn't 1am here, I might follow the rabbit hole down, but my eyes are drying out as it is.

Cash, lyca.com is out-of-game. People tumbled to it during ILB and it was proved OOG back then; I doubt very much that it'd be drafted into this ARG three years later.

-- Steve'll also note that all sites tied to lyca (the numeric ones especially) are also unrelated to the Halo 3 ARG.

ouch, yeah akqa is definitely BTC... they've worked previously on Xbox and Microsoft projects... they'd better get all their halo stuff offline quick Shocked (hopefully that's all there is anyhow, otherwise if it's publically available, it will inevitably be found)

Mmm, might akqa be a site-scrape that someone got creative with? Unless those new images can be stegged, I don't see any point in changing them, particularly stonehenge, and the changes to the text (making the links go to doyougrok) give us no additional information we couldn't have gotten from an obvious view-source on the original.
