I know we got mailer-daemon's when we tried to apply at doyougrokSPLATsocietyoftheancients.com, but I (and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people) sent another one to doyougrokSPLAT206.16.223.65 and did not receive a mailer-daemon.

Well.

Two days later and:

Sorry about that, but I've got one that you missed. In the members section, they put Mr. Mitchell instead of Dr. Mitchell.

I might not be the first person to mention this idea, but I got it from reading some of the previous posts about misspellings on SOTA. I looked through the webpage for typos and found that all of them are just changing one letter such as lager instead of larger, bee instead of be, and leads instead of leaps. Could these single letters be a clue of some kind? I'm not sure if I found all of them, but I can post a list of the ones I did find if you guys want.

Please refer to grifter_7's post on http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19632&start=330 for the list that you were talking about.

The only problem there is that SOTA isn't trying (at least not as far as we know) to hide secret messages in their site. Their goal is to spread information, not conceal it. So it seems likely to me that the typos are simply there to lend authenticity to the web site. Makes it feel more real.

I could be wrong of course.

I was just messing around on the site, and I clicked on the counter. It took me to the site that provides the counter. Well, the form to sign up for one requires an email address, and when I clicked Forgot My Password and typed in "sota" as the login, it said that it sent the email. So, if we knew or could guess the password, we could get the email address of the person who created the site, or at least the counter. What do you guys think? Any ideas for the password?

I agree with thebruce. If we start doing stuff like that, whats to stop us from truly "hacking" the site and finding everything about them. It's etiquette

According to Bnet (http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/118020/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=11344524)
the following cities have had confirmed rallies:
1)New York
2)London
3)Boston (Cambridge)
4)San Fransisco.
5) Vancouver

Ok, I looked through all the pages I missed as I slept, and I didn't see anyone post this, so I'm sorry if it's been posted before. Avery put up a youtube video of the protest in Vancouver and MTVgames put up a video of the protest in Times Square.

Vancouver - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4wwU1_xl1I

New York - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4Y97seNNXs

Again, I used search and didn't find it, so sorry.
