Someone with a lot more experience working anagrams should potentially take a look at the list and see if there are any glaring deductions to be had.

Also, kindly appreciate each others' assistance and hypotheses. No one is entirely wrong and no one is entirely correct. This is a collective effort and it is understood that temper's may flare, and if opinions differ we must calmly explain points of view.

Only reason I say is that the site specifically points to the countdown. I honestly think thats the only link between the 2 sites.

I know what you mean, but remember that this is the only thing that is pointed to the countdown. So if this whole thing wasn't "uncovered" the time line would have been:
Protesters on Friday handing out flyers (another way instead of the ad), ad for the comic website leading to the same website on the flyers, and that website leading to the countdown.

Possibly could be really really simple (and dissapointing)

 		This whole Aldo thing doesn't really seem in-game. I mean how far out there are some of those websites. Out of thousands of webpages on the internet with the word Antikythera Mechanism on them, there would obviously be a couple mistakes. In fact, I'm honestly kind of surprised that there aren't more misspellings of it. It isn't a easy word. And if the web pages are a bit old, then it may have been hard for him to find the correct spelling of the word. So, if you really must keep discussing it, at least try to find another link to halo, SOTA, or the transmission log before we all spend 20 pages arguing about it.

I'm having trouble following you guys. Are discussing the link between SotA and the Transmission Log? Because the comic pointed to the countdown, not the SotA website. And we found the SotA website because someone brute force searched the block of IP addresses (which are all owned by microsoft) that contained the SotA website. It has to be in-game.

...or am I confused an should stop posting when not under the influence of caffeine?

The SOTA Evidence page displays the following text:

"FINDINGS- The message boards are still out on this piece. One of our members came across a website that also contains this symbol (206.16.223.65) but it's much to early to determine if this is valid evidence of Ancients. None the less, the supposed "alien" server is quite interesting. The quest for the truth about this image remains."

Yet, the Transmission Log does not contain the symbol at all.
