Maybe what the countdown is counting down to is the reactivation of the robot SOTA found in Africa. Didn't Avery have a blog post that said the lights would activate but after a while they would shut down?

That could also mean that the robot they found is AR because it could turn on , post a message, then go back into hibernation. Does this sound possible?

Sorry, but the only mention of SOTA and finding a robot was made by two2222 on myspace, but he was a hoax.

Do we know of what the Iris transmission that AR is talking about in the Transmission logs is?

The page is titled "Transmission logs", so do we have any idea what the Iris Transmission was?

And I also wonder who AR sent the message to? As it is awaiting delivery.

The only thing we know concerning Iris is the mythological background. AR used the mythos to clue us in to the name itself, so it maybe relevant as to the function of "Iris," but as to what is being transmitted and what events will unfold as a result, well, we got nothing.

edit: *sneeze*, right.

27.com hints
ancientone's botlike posts:

*repeat clues* 1. your final clue is closer than you might think, watch chief retrieve his helmet and try not to blink 2. the minds of fans may think too hard, to continue the search listen to James R. Vinyard 3.I thought I made this clear, punch the numbers on your Aeon and all will appear 4. Now that we have our text we may move on, the countdown timer has wisdom beyond. 5. the clues you seek move by fast, quit looking forward, look to halo's past.

A "bot" wrote these five clues one at a time (he would repost the one every 3-4 seconds for about 10 minutes then move on). He then started recapping for about 20 minutes, then said "transmission complete, for more information visit www.bungie.com"

just thought y'all would like to know.

Poorly wrought poetry, a reference to a "bot", and a broken link don't exactly inspire confidence in those "clues".

AR's last post on bungie.net was 6/17/2007 when he spoke of security integrity:

"I can retain integrity for at least 22 hours. Rerouting bandwidth to deflect assault."

Other than that I don't quite get your post.

earlier post

the link was just from me typing it; I wasn't trying to hyperlink. No one has been to the 27.com site? there is a connection that I read about (couldn't explain well; just getting into it.)

I also didn't say that it was real, just wanted to point out an observation.

And the website does reference the Nokia Aeon.

1. Register for the site. It takes about two seconds and you don't look like a tool trying to be mysteriously helpful.

2. Read the threads you post in.

3. Cite viable sources, Bnet forums (other than AR posts) are very much not reliable

4. Come join the fun:-D

Unless something new has surfaced, 27.com is not part of this ARG at all and has 0 connections to it. Please read the FAQ and wiki (http://halo.wikibruce.com/) before posting.

May be trouting here, but there is an errant close tag (>) beneath the hand.jpg photo on the evidence page linked above. Not sure if it's always been there. If not, it's an indication that someone was toying with the HTML.

I saw that a few days ago but thought nothing of it, kinda thought it was a 'greater than' sign at first.
