And froschkonig, thank GOODNESS. I'm not sure I could stand watching Densha Otoko DX one more time. >___<

Mentioned a couple times, but it's nice to have it in this thread anyway.

edit: Not that anyone's up right now, but regarding the message on the countdown site:

Code:
Rotate Transition Point /negative/
Local Interference - Negligible

/confirmed/ Realignment Proceeding

Could "Rotate Transition Point /negative/" possibly be instructions on how to view the image? I tried playing around with it in Photoshop but couldn't come up with anything. Just thought I'd put it out there..

I pulled this from the sota membership application pdf

Author (Nadege.decastro) /Creator (Word) /CreationDate (D:20070511155606-07'00')
/ModDate (D:20070511155606-07'00') /Producer (Mac OS X 10.4.8 Quartz PDFContext)
/Title (Microsoft Word - SOTA_membership.doc)

looks like we should try and look up Nadege DeCastro... he uses a mac!

Edit: having trouble getting in the text from extracting text from the pdf.
edit2: got it.

Gonna have to agree with you on the 'behind the curtain stuff.'

Interesting how much of this content seems have been created on a mac, isn't it?

While we're on the subject of possibly significant spelling

I noticed on the AveryFane blog, in the June 14th update, he starts one paragraph with "Stegway aside,". Now, as far as I know, stegway isn't a real word. Possibly he means "segue" (pronounced seg-way) and it's a combination of incorrect phonetic spelling and a typo. However, if it is on purpose, perhaps he's saying that one of the pictures on his blog has been stegged and there's a hidden message in it. Just an idea.

I agree. Just look at your keyboard -- "stegway" is not easily mistyped.

Anyone been to lyca.com yet? If it wasn't 1am here, I might follow the rabbit hole down, but my eyes are drying out as it is.

Anyway, go there and click the last dot on the right and see where it takes you. Sound familiar? Mmhmm. For some more fun, click the link on the bottom left of that same page.

Night folks.

Well, I've never had to type out 'segue' before and if I had to guess before I read that last post I'd have spelled it just like he did and have it as 'segway'. Although my browser would promptly correct me :S

I don't think there is a ton of info at the moment from that guy, most of our efforts will come when the first server is opened, and I think we basically have to wait until the counter hits 0 for that, we are already ahead of the game anyways.

i still cant believe that the kid found the halo3.com/comic because he's a paper carrier and was looking through ads. could you imagine in the midst of all of this seeing that ad? Crazy! anyways, im sure its already been noted, but on the rare chance that it hasn't... the glyph is actually quite symbolic of the Goseck Circle. Which is a sun observatory. also might be symbolic of Stonehenge after seeing that comic, but that Goseck illustartion just struck me as familiar.

Somehow I think that myspace page is fan-made.

From his actual profile info (and not the blog) he seems like a recent high school grad. Also, the major in assassination / minor in ninjutsu from high school lends credence to how he's going to regret posting that stuff once people start pummeling him with messages.

Finally, he's in Ohio and the people he's mentioning partying with (SOTA) are in Illinois...I don't think he'd be that flippant about a 5-7 hour drive to just hang out.

Nice find. Seems our buddies at SOTA have excavated and repaired one of the machines seen in the comic. 100,000 year old machine? AR warning us that "something that was malevolent is now stirring."

Hmmm. ""We may be able to get this thing running in as few as seven days."

That's the 21st, kids. Wink
