The site is 404ed for me.

Now.

The logial part of my brain is saying "eh, these things happen, computers futz out all the time, no big deal".

The rest of me (the part I've been using to play this game) is going "IT'S A SIGN."

remember that SO is considered in-game, so try not to reference OOG content, or things that people have talked about here regarding private conversations w/ the sentries.

Hey. I looked up Stu's site on Whois and (i think) got his listed IP. However, when i used a Google maps IP Locator, it showed the location being off the coast of africa, so i think i may be retarded....

i can explain most of what you're seeing.

When the site can't find the lat/long of the host server, it uses 0', 0' - which is the intersection of the prime meridian and the equator - ie. off the coast of africa.

When I changed my "ip host info" from arpanet to Google, I also get SF - which is what lovek found.

And if you just click on the link, without changing the default IP address, yes, you get pittsburgh.
