Re: timer
its still running

I have the timer stopped in one tab and its still running in the other. currently its at 000 000 000 031 and running very slow. we'll see what happens at 0. (probably nothing, but i'll report.)

On OS X the timer never stopped for me, even after the cache was cleared. I'm just curious, are you running an Intel Mac, or PowerPC.

As to the timer, I doubt it has much significance now other than the coordinates. I'll bet that nothing happens until tomorrow night.

To quote the "Stupid Cop", "You might like it, but the law doesn't require it".

What you should do is search, as this has already been answered. It's even been talked about earlier in this very thread. Not to sound rude, but you shouldn't rely on other members to do the work for you...

Did I do that right?

OS X, intel, firefox. The timer is stopped. Not sure why it's not stopping for you guys.

That works, but I find it goes over better if you just suggest they use the Search function to find what they're looking for and leave it at that.

You don't need to be registered to search Chad, but membership is free and has some perks. Smile

Re: Transmission log

Sorry for my misguided post. I'll make sure that I search first before asking anymore questions.

Hmm... definitely looks like your problem is an old copy of the site, since the text is unchanged from way earlier.

Nobody is mad at you so don't feel bad, it's just common courtesy to do a search first. You're new here, and we're a rather mellow group, so instead of flame you, I figured I'd try to explain why I was asking you to search instead of just say "SEARCH N00B!" like a lot of other people do. I'm certain that nobody here is going to freak out about a simple request, especially not me. I'm just tryin' to help you out.

@HHR: Man you're really on the membership drive now aren't you? Laughing That's a cause that I can get behind! Join us chad, we don't bite!

Oh and Chad? I wasn't trying to be a "dick", just trying to help...

I was never a fan of long pork myself.

Maybe if somebody made bacon out of him...

Hmmm, bacon...

Anyway. let's get back to talking about this stalled counter that no longer has any text accompanying it.

Good Idea. I'm thinking that the lack of text means that the "reboot" mentioned earlier had finished sucessfully. What I find interesting is that the counter seems to be separate from the individual we knew as AdjudantReflex. The server it's running on is not powered by AR, which must mean that maybe, the new critter (whatever being took over AR, likely not biological) might not have access to it. Maybe this is what AR meant by "something small" that he was going to leave his legacy behind in. Maybe (like I postulated earlier) AR left us a little something to help us later, like a clue or information.

Awww, c'mon, let's beat it anyway. It's not like we have anything else to do in the meantime.
