I'm starting this thread in hopes to gather all of our collectiving specing into one thread.

I'll start.


According to the transcript for Transmission061607.mp3, there are 'more of us' that may help to divert another suicidal firing of the halos.

I simply copied and pasted what I found on another thread, I've updated it now to what most believe it to be......and it affects my theory a little....but I'll keep up anyways

While reading through this and the other text files we've happened up on through the Server 05 Open page, I came to this realization.

Adjutant Reflex was an AI based on a human(/oid).....like Cortana or any of the AI's described in the Halo books. I believe that AI was formed from the orginal "Reclaimer's" mind, which would explain the guilt that AR expressed through the Macbeth quotes. The Macbeth quotes also lend to the AI theory, because AIs tend to take on very unique personalities (on Onyx, the AI's personality was based on Indian spirit/cheif I believe, the AI that traveled through slipspace to contact.....uh forgot his name....was a very proper englishman....etc).

The "others of us" line leads me to believe that there are other AIs based on (forerunners?) that do not want to see the Halo's fired again. This is in direct contrast to the Monitors of each Halo.

As those of you who have played through the campaign on both Halo: CE and Halo 2 may recall, the Monitors are very intent on firing the Halos and eliminating all sentient life capable of sustaining the flood.

This leads me to believe that the entity that 'commandeered AR's matrix' is a Monitor (or its Ark counterpart) attempting to ensure that the Halos will be fired.

Monitors do not appear to be capable of 'human thought', however the smart human based AIs do appear to be capable of that. This leads me to believe that the AIs believe/hope the firing of the Halos can be averted, while the Monitors believe (perhaps based on trigger events, probability algorithms, etc) that the Halos must be fired and must be fired immediately.


Now, here's a glaring issue with all this specing. In 2007 we know nothing of the Halos, the Flood, Monitors or even true AI. The only way for this to be happening in real time (same time for both AR and us) is that AR somehow travelled through time, or we are to suspend belief and accept the current time to be in 2552 (or somewhere there abouts).

Of course, I encourage any feedback, whether dicounting my ideas or adding to them!

 		I'm not totally certain but I think you may have the last line wrong to me, at least, it sounds like "through other's eyes"

 		the more i listen to this... perhaps AR, perhaps someone else, this mp3 file, the more i actually want to cry for it. What ever he/she/it/thing is, i definitely feel sympathy for it.

that's what it sounds like to me, "Through Others' Eyes."

What had the Halos hoped to destroy? They were meant to destroy the flood but judging from the Array Records and the obvious existence of the flood it failed. But now who was the one that was alone at first? I'm guessing the Covenant. They tried to guard and prevent any access to the Halos and the horrible secrets they held. Now both the humans and the Covenant have taken the responsibility of stopping the Flood. The keys I think refer the actual keys that the site gave us and the wells of history are each other servers we're going to access.

The halos hope to destroy the Flood's Food, not the flood itself. But you're on the Right Track, now, if the flood feed on 'people' (humans and covenant alike), and the Halos destroy it, what then? run with THAT train.

There was a countdown, but it stopped, which was meant for the opening today. I guess first people had to input keys and then the server opened.
