I still think it would be a good idea to ask him to join our group. I think he would like what we have to offer, that group is getting mighty large.

Anyone know foman enough to try to get him to come join in our escapades? I think we should try to get him to come join over here. The CI group seems solid, but not as seasoned as this coalition.
He founded the CompoundIntelligence group, so I anticipate that's where he will want to play. There is a public thread on b.net for this already stickied, so I think he understands how important sharing information is. I'm not worried about that group "hoarding" information.
In fact, I'm starting to wonder if this guy is IG. He's hardly played any Halo at all (I think 6 or 7 games) and has been a member for about 1 year. What if he didn't check his messages?

Just in case you don't want to brave the Bnet forums

Something I noticed a while ago, but makes sense now. Not sure if it has to do with anything or not, but in the CompoundIntelligence group Foman's role is "Ehrenfest Operator" and everyone else is a "Sentinel". In contrast, Lukems role is "Administrator" of the Brute Ghostbusters group, while everyone else is a "Member".
Just thought I'd mention it.

When you create the group, you can determine the membership titles. Since he was the founder of the group, he could determine the title instead of 'owner'.

Oops. Nevermind. Foman's role is "Installation Monitor" anyway.

Actually that is less significant than you may think. Bungie just updated their website and that reset ALL groups to the same starting date regardless of when they originally began. They also just reset all the leaderboards for Halo 2. I actually have ZERO games played now.

What has he learned in Eon's slumber?

Putting it here since this is the discussion on that group.

The "stain on his hands"? "Damned spot"? What's with all the Macbeth?

If nothing else, I'm fairly certain that a PM represents "a small space", and that pretty well indicates that Foman was chosen.
Kinda kicks that whole Zune theory in the jimmies, but I won't go over in that thread and say it.

Yet another Gravemind reference.
Quote:
There is much talk, and I have listened, through rock and metal and time .
There has always been some speculation that Gravemind is an infected Forerunner. Perhaps that would explain the outranking of Adjutant Reflex and the references taken from Macbeth .
Lady Macbeth's famous line, "Out, damned spot!" is uttered during her manic sleepwalk, where she is observed trying to remove figurative blood from her hands, which of course, will not wash off. It is her guilt over her part in a murder that drives her to such madness.

He keeps mentioning being "outranked". He said it before, and now AR has said it again.
At first I found it odd, and thought... well perhaps he just means that he's up against something too large for him to defeat. Now I wonder... I think perhaps that they belong to the same caste...the same group or society or whatever it is that Forerunner AIs might belong to.
You know who I think AR's opponent is? Durandal.

I love and hate whenever Durandal is mentioned, both here and back in ILB when it was said a few times.
I love it because I get all jittery for my favorite AI of all time.
I hate it because I know it's not gonna happen.
[Edit] Please, PLEASE someone prove me wrong.

If it is indeed durandal, then Bungie is connecting the universes of the two series, and this indeed is a big move on their part.
It also means that they have a lot of explaining to do as to how they both CAN connect. It is going to take some serious plot twists and so forth to do that, so I don't see Marathon and Halo being in anyway related except for in spirit.
