 		[UPDATE] El Portal Motel
First, Mr. AJ posted a photo of the interior of a hotel room on his MySpace blog and lists his location as El Portal, Nevada.

Kona finds a photo of a similar room at a hotel in El Portal, a suburb of Beatty, Nevada, which is called the El Portal Motel.

We then get the invitation that says, "Find a hotel."

In the Nevermore video, there is a b&w photo of the exterior of a hotel, and a google search leads us to find out that the photo is of the "El Portal Motel."

Methos figures out that this photo is not in Nevada, but in San Diego, California.

So I did a little more digging and found this website:

If you click on the link that says "candid traveler photos", you get this:

It's the same photo of the interior hotel room that Mr. AJ posted on his MySpace blog.

So now we're wondering, San Diego or Nevada?
Then Methos finds 2 different versions of the invitation on wiki:
Version 1:

and Version 2 (with a ZIP code added this time):
http://www.wiki.argr.de/images/Evite-invitation.png

Mapmaker confirms that the ZIP code (89003) is the ZIP for Beatty, Nevada.

So maybe a final clarification on which El Portal Motel we're looking for?

My thoughts are we are looking at the El Portal Motel in Beatty Nevada
this may have to be visited

With the address of Nevermore NV on the invite and the fact that Kona is in Nevada I think this is an attempt to set up a drop close to someone who will be willing to go out there (Beatty is about 2hrs from Vegas) Naturally if no one can make it I will be happy to fly from OZ to get there Laughing

Of course it could be a trap for someone (in which case I am broke and cant afford to make it out there) but this is probably my parnoid mind working overtime again Wink

 		As I said in chat, I was willing (albeit barely able) to go out to Valley of Fire. But 115 miles up to Beatty? I'm not sure what I can do to get hubby to do that (cause he isn't going to want me to go up alone).
Chixor will be in town in a couple of week; but I thought her schedule was pretty tight. I think we have maybe 2 hours or so on Friday afternoon/evening. A drive up to Beatty & back would take the entire night. I'd have to do some serious work shifting to get off earlier (hubby gets home around 3p on Friday).

[META]How could the PM have put something up there for us??? Shipped it to the hotel waiting for us? Oh, jeesh, better not give out any ideas. I'm hoping this is a virtual hotel we have to find online. And that if there is any live stuff, it's closer to someone's home (or their mailbox).[/META]
