some bad news

I just heard from my sister, at approximately 9:00 pm Australian time my father passed away peacefully in hospital.
He had been in there for over a month following 3 near-simultaneous strokes, and although he was showing some improvement, we were not entirely unprepared for this news.
I saw him on saturday, and he seemed bright-eyed and responsive. It hasn't fully sunk in yet, and frankly, I feel guilty that I'm not crying.
Anyhoo, just felt like telling someon, and I consider you guys my friends.

So sorry to hear that PF.
It's not easy, and I send my deepest condolences.....time will eventually help the memories fill the emptiness.

(((((Hug)))))))

You're just in shock PF, hence the lack of tears.
Been there, and all I got in return was this lousy t-shirt.

I am very sorry to hear about your father. {{{{Hugs}}}}
It's OK not to cry. His death was probably a blessed relief, if that makes sense. Even though that doesn't make it any easier. How ever you choose to deal with his death is OK. Remeber that. Only you know what is best for you. Use that wonderful writing of yours to get thru this sad time. And keep posting. We are your friends.

Our condolences and prayers go out to you and your family.

The tears will come when/if they need to. Just know that you have hugs and support from all over the planet.

PF, you have my deepest condolences on your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family.

In situations like this, you must remember that time, and only time, will ease your pain. Understand that your friends here and elsewhere are there to help and support you.

Please accept my condolences and sympathies as well, Adam. I'm glad you got to see him on Saturday and hopefully spared yourself that manufactured guilt that many people put themselves through after a loved one's passing.

Keep your chin up, bro, and don't lose your stellar sense of humor. We're all here for you if you need us.
