[Spec] David George Found?

I have no clue if this warrants even looking into. Probably not. But here it is.

Google Maps, when searched for Normal, IL goes to the following:
http://www.google.com/maps?q=Normal,+IL,+USA&sa=X&oi=map&ct=title

Right smack in the center of Normal, IL? Illinois State University. And what happens when you search for David George at Illinois State University?

1 Result Found.

Try it yourself. http://www.ilstu.edu/home/find/peoplesearch.phtml

Now...is this relevant?

**Who is David George**

From SOTA:

Quote:
Founder – David George (Small Business owner and Notary Public), Normal Illinois (1995) Current Global Membership – 510 and growing

Well, I sent a tentative email. I guess we'll see how often he checks his mailbox? I apologized already if he was OOG.

It would be really evil of Bungie if this guy wasn't in-game because he's probably about to be bombarded with e-mail...

Keep us updated Smile I don't honestly think its going to amount to anything, but it was an interesting coincidence.

Edit: That's why I didn't post his email address in here. I don't really think it is anything, but I wanted to at least share the info.

I don't see any information in that Illinois State University link.

I would suggest not looking for real people named that in an actual listing of people who live in that area. As we'll likely just end up with another one of these.

However, I would encourage you to do google searches with that name in conjunction with Stonehenge, and Society of Ancients, and so on.

Let's not forget this "Aaron Elliott" fellow who is listed on the SoTA application as the "Recruitment Chair"...

Well, I found a David George who is a Notary Public in Springfield, Illinois. But he is inactive. I have his address but I don't think this is a good lead.

There is also an Aaron Elliott notary in Schaumburg, Illinois. But I don't think either of these people are in-game and I'm certainly not paying to send them a letter.

Yeah there was a guy that made the pic of "flood containment" (he made a picture with a filename and description embedded in the file, that was a different picture). I emailed him about it in a way that could have been an OOG conversation, but if he's in game then he'll know because I attached the pictures (original and in-game).

We'll see what he says.

Meh... E-mails to aelliott/elliotta/dgeorge/georgedSPLATsocietyoftheancients.com get bounced as well... Worth a shot.

I don't think that SOTA has a mail server configured.

Well the only reason I tried it was because of the DoYouGrokSPLATsocietyoftheancients.com address on the application document from the SoTA website.

I'm gonna send the SOTA membership application to David George's email address found at the ISU site and see what pops up.

Does anyone know when the new lunar cycle starts? Maybe the date might have some sort of importance.

Hey, new to this so maybe be totally of on a tangent but grok (from the email address) means to understand something so fully your at one with the data (not sure if ppl already new this) but to me it would indicate only a correctly worded email sent to sota would cause a response (when/ if the email address comes online.) Also splat could refer to the star key on the keyboard, which would be a round about way of saying that you have to understand the star image. Of course i may be completely wrong, that not an uncommon scenario for me.
