Between the time it gave you the key, and the time you accessed the page where it would request it, the server was probably unlocked. I know I got my key in as fast as I could, and Anton P. Nym was right behind me, and it had gone from 93 to 77 in almost no time.

I wouldn't say that. There are 4 more servers.

I'm confused guys. I went to Halo3.com and it has 5 servers. #1 is currently unlocked and #5 is locked. Is there another page of servers that you guys are talking about that I do not know of?

BTW, clicking on server #1 from Halo3.com does nothing.

If you go to what was previously the countdown page @ 206.16.223.61 You'll now see a page titled Server 05 Open. Some fun stuff to play with in there.

EDIT: Added quote so you know who I'm talking to Smile

Just to clarify this for future reference, some people who got keys may not have fully been able to use them.

I know dark moonz and my self got the "you do not have a birthdate entered in you windows live account" message after we entered our captcha key and moved forward with the larger key.

Myself I copied and pasted the long key from the page to a text file before moving on but it remains to be seen if it will be worth anything later. This is because by the time I was able to clear my browser cache(thanks minasodaboy!) and retry the server was unlocked.

So be ready for the future servers because I believe they may try this approach again. make sure your windows live id's have birthdates and that you clear your broswer cahces(after making sure to log out of windows live ids).

Could you please read the threads? I think at least eight people have asked this question thus far.[/quote]

The countdown page turned into Server 05 a little while ago, but the server was still locked. It played an audio file and then gave the first 100 people a 24-character key, which they had to enter. After 100 people used their keys, the server became unlocked and is now what you'll see at http://206.16.223.65. It's a neat little flash thing where you can get 4 files and watch a video. We are still discussing what these files mean in various threads.

I read the thread man. It doesn't make any sense. People got their keys on the countdown site? I went there a few times and I didn't see any keys. Nobody has fully explained it.
[edit] thank you mithical. Being helpful is super awesome.
