just a few observations from the image:

a key imbedded in the owl's left wing (which wasn't in the original image of the owl)
the grey shaded text in: no mennes cio
the name of the image is "Litmus"

and also from the blog:

1. A Constant Speed of Light

otherwise, nothing else is standing out to me at this time.

Hope you dont mind me dropping in, but according to wiki, the measurement to note the constant speed of light in the metric system is a c and is exactly 299,792,458 meters per second.

I'm sure I don't need to say it but that's the same image that was on the logo from http://nomennescio.org/

More. Mason says "[19:19] <Mason> you guys know that Nomen Nescio is the term for an Anonymous person, right?". And then a generic update from Augustine, to which I had hoped to allude to the key in the owl:

Quote:
Augustine says: (7:22:22 PM)
You have your key, no?
morbusSPLATdisobey.com says: (7:24:19 PM)
alas, i see said key, but have yet to unlock anything useful.
Augustine says: (7:25:50 PM)
Well, if you have the key in front of you then...

I received this email from Augustine three hours ago, but I was with child, so only barely caught up now. It contained only the URL, to another image, below, and the subject line was "we are all subject":

chatted via msn with augustine_asimov SPLAY hotmail doooot com relevantish bits:
Quote:
I would imagine in would be YOU looking to get reimbursed for your expenses from ME, as protocol would suggest.
Quote:
Sorry Tim, the protocol is laid out as it is for a reason. I'm sure you understand. Anyway, the form is simple enough - it's no 1040 or anything.

1040 seems to refer to
http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1040.html (online security encryption) or
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1040 (US tax returns)

I've been furiously typing in anything and everything that seems relevant. no luck yet.

filling out the "form" vs username/password for nomennescio.org = one and the same or two completely different tasks?

Per my previous conversation with him, the goal is to get past the un/pw prompt, as the expense form is stored under /lists/. Once we get into /lists/, we can fill out the expense form, and start the next leg.

1040 refers to the IRS form used to report income taxes in the united states each year (not sure if non-americans would know this). it's a very common term and there's a general feeling that many feel it's too complicated for them to do themselves (which is why many americans have a tax preparer fill it out). this would explain augustine's comment.

HOWEVER, augustine also used a non-american spelling in his blog (neighbour), which makes me a little suspicious of his 1040 comment. probably nothing, but I do find it curious.

morbusSPLATdisobey.com says: (7:53:11 PM)

Augustine says: (7:54:01 PM)
Ah, right you are.

Thank god I'm not Senior Operating Officer Of Spelling!
Augustine says: (7:55:45 PM)
Are you in the field?
Augustine says: (7:56:12 PM)

Augustine says: (7:56:58 PM)

Augustine says: (7:57:13 PM)
I finished my carrots about an hour into my work day.
morbusSPLATdisobey.com says: (7:57:35 PM)

Augustine says: (7:58:02 PM)

Augustine says: (7:58:23 PM)
Sometimes it's good for the soul to do both...
morbusSPLATdisobey.com says: (7:58:32 PM)

Augustine says: (7:58:32 PM)
but sometimes just one or the other is fine as well.
morbusSPLATdisobey.com says: (7:58:43 PM)

Augustine says: (7:59:44 PM)
You know what it's like around here! If I tell people where I'm going it WON'T end up being a vacation at all.
Augustine says: (8:00:03 PM)
I better go now.
Augustine says: (8:00:11 PM)
