Good morning.
Reedus says:
it's not morning until I wake up
Reedus says:
that's what I always say
Augustine says:
I am only a dream!
Augustine says:
Razz
Reedus says:
ahaha I didn't say I was asleep yet
Augustine says:
No, I did.
Reedus says:
ok, let's not go that route
Reedus says:
Razz
Augustine says:
I may be blind, but I can tell what time of day it is!
Reedus says:
it's only morning by chronological standards
Reedus says:
the night doesn't end until I go to sleep
Augustine says:
Right you are.
Reedus says:
no matter what the clock or sun says
Augustine says:
Is your form nearly completed - the deadline looms.
Augustine says:
?
Reedus says:
I believe I'm working on query 6 at the moment
Reedus says:
should be done with that fairly soon
Augustine says:
Wonderful!
Reedus says:
do you listen to the cure?
Reedus says:
I'm not sure if they're popular in canada...
Augustine says:
Pictures Of You is one of my favourite songs.
Reedus says:
yeah, that's a good one
Reedus says:
disintegration is my favorite album of theirs
Augustine says:
Great from start to finish.
Reedus says:
I'm also fond of seventeen seconds
Augustine says:
Mhmm.
Reedus says:
a forest is another favorite
Reedus says:
oh, about that feather...
Augustine says:
Yes?
Reedus says:
I did find it
Augustine says:
Wonderful!
Reedus says:
I wasn't aware that I already had it when I went looking for it
Reedus says:
but something about your feather (or maybe it was art's feather? - I can't remember who had it) seemed familiar and reminded me a lot of the feather I had
Augustine says:
A lot of people have that particular feather.
Augustine says:
Are you following the path in the right direction then, with the feather?
Reedus says:
so I've found that manipulating the feather lets me see new things
Reedus says:
but I must admit that I'm not seeing them as clearly as I'd like
Augustine says:
If you're wear your feather tucked in your cap correctly - you should be perfectly clear.
Augustine says:
Perhaps you put on the wrong cap!
Reedus says:
yeah, I think I failed to tuck it in the cap
Reedus says:
or yeah! wrong cap!
Reedus says:
I should keep things more organized...let me look for the right cap
Augustine says:
Our first instincts are often right when it comes to choosing the right cap.
Reedus says:
well then...perhaps it's the way I'm tucking it in that's all wrong?
Augustine says:
Good thing I'm colour blind, otherwise that would add a whole other complexity to picking caps and whatnot.
Reedus says:
yeah, I tried that
Reedus says:
err...I mean, uhh, yeah, I suppose that does work to your advantage
Reedus says:
assuming you don't mind what other people think of your choice of cap Wink
Augustine says:
I choose a cap that can suit the most functions.
Augustine says:
That way I'm always prepared!
Reedus says:
there are two things you should never leave your house without: a functional cap and your towel
Augustine says:
OKaaaay...
Augustine says:
Razz
Reedus says:
haha
Reedus says:
not a douglas adams fan, eh?
Reedus says:
do you feel that wearing your cap backwards sometimes offers a whole new functionality?
Augustine says:
Nah, not my style.
Reedus says:
hmm...funny
Reedus says:
everyone else seems to think so
Reedus says:
good thing I'm not a follower, eh? Wink
Augustine says:
Everyone else is wrong.
Reedus says:
I think a grey cap suits me quite well
Augustine says:
I think it does if you want to believe it does...
Augustine says:
but I'm just being polite.
Reedus says:
Smile
Augustine says:
Maybe you need a different kind of cap.
Augustine says:
A bookworm-ish cap perhaps.
Augustine says:
The kind tipsila might wear.
Reedus says:
Very Happy
Reedus says:
I'm not entirely sure that I own such a cap, but I will give the drawers another good spelunking
Augustine says:
Just change your cap though - the feather is essential for the journey.
Augustine says:
My head is going to roll for all of this...
Augustine says:
I better start burning my logs now.
Reedus says:
heh
Augustine says:
Good luck.
Reedus says:
remember, I'm the overzealous novice cadet!
Reedus says:
thanks!
Augustine says:
RazzRazzRazzRazzRazzRazz

more Razz faces, though not 10 total. but 6 in a row, as art also did. still odd, I think.

and...the whole bookworm/cap thing is driving me crazy! tipsila, he mentioned you. any ideas?

he seems to imply that the text is NOT reversed. I'm still not able to read it with the contrast/brightness trick. the trick obviously has something to do with the cap/bookworm thing, but...what?

Busy busy. haven't got too much time to play with this at the moment, but caught up with the thread, and didn't see anyone point out that "NN" has posted a comment on Augustine's Guestbook that has 10 smileys in a triangular shape.

6 and 10, of course, are both triangle numbers (1+2+3 = 6, +4 = 10).

Not caught up enough to know what else is going on... Wink

Wow, that doesn't show up for me... till I followed your link.

ETA: I didn't see your IM conversation with Augustine until just now, Reedus. I have no idea what AA means about me... but in an IM conversation yesterday with Mason this was said:

Augustine says:
Don't bring a bookworm to a feather party!

Augustine says:
If you look in the home of bookworms & circus folk I'm sure they'll show you their feathers.

Augustus mentions he's colour blind.
Could this be an indication to greyscale the image?

Actually, if he has "common" color blindness, that means that he can see most colors, but red and green both appear as another color, such as grey. So maybe changing anything red and green to grey will help?

Just a thought...

M - The Cure

That's Augustine's current MSN comment thing. He says it's part of the Expenses Form.

Ah, but there are many keys
I'm handing one to you now!
Scorpio... says:
M - The Cure?
Augustine says:
I love that song.
Scorpio... says:
Is that your clue? Razz
Because you are handing me nothing else.
Augustine says:
Does it fit the protocol?
Scorpio... says:
Not that I can see.
Augustine says:
Then you must not be very experienced in filling out expense forms...
Razz

IM

I'm in a chat with Augustine right now, I'll post when we are done

Me:
I seem to be having some problems tucking my feather into my cap. Do you have any sugestions? My head is starting to hurt
Augustine says:
So it seems...
Augustine says:
are you wearing the right cap? do you have the right feather?
Augustine says:
If not, find someone who is/does.
Me:
I'm speaking of twentyeight
Augustine says:
Yes.
Augustine says:
The cap has been updated.
Me:
okay, I'll have a look
Augustine says:
Fashion changes quickly.
Augustine says:
Razz
Me:
Smile
Augustine says:
No... Razz
Me:
okay...
Augustine says:
MMMMMM...better
Augustine says:
Have you begun to fill in your expense claim form?
Me:
I'm not exactly sure how I'm new to this
Augustine says:
I believe I've laid it out clearly - look.
Augustine says:
Razz
Augustine says:
Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz
Me:
I see, but how am I to enter data
Augustine says:
Download the form to your HD and begin filling... email it to me when completed.
Me:
okay
Augustine says:
Understand?
Me :
yes
Augustine says:
Then...
Me:
Thanks for your help. I'm off to try this cap and feather again
Augustine says:
Wonderful!
Augustine says:
Travel past the cloaked one.
Me:
Would you happen to know which direction I should go?
Augustine says:
Further.
Me:
further can go very far north, south, east, or west
Augustine says:
Not far.
Augustine says:
Just follow the path past the cloaked one.

I agree with the person who said that he is putting alot of emphasis on those smiley faces. So, what did you all get out of this? I keep going back to twentyeight and I'm drawn to the thing that looks like a letter in the left hand corner just past "the cloaked one" Am I crazy and just seeing things?

BTW: The Smiley faces he made are the one with the tongue sticking out. There isn't a face for that one on here

So... what do I get in return for claiming my expenses?
Augustine says:
A pat on the back for a job well done and a plaque that says "Employee Of The Month" - and use of the corporate jet. OK, maybe not the jet.
You and your colleagues are closer to most keys than you realize. In fact, many have been found, but not examined closely enough and subsequently left to languish, or out-right discarded.
The expense form really should spell out the protocol.

Okay, here we go.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Fritz Lang released 'M' in 1931.
M is a song by The Cure, on the album "Seventeen Seconds"
It lasts 3:03... 3+3 = 6.

Augustine said we should have had 1 and 6 just after the 'Seventeen Seconds' clue had been found.

1. C
6. M
