Sorry to confuse the AA/6op thing more. Eric mailed me with the following when I wondered about "stop[ping] chasing the AA rabbit":

Quote:

We need you to deliver that message to those following AA. We need
them to know we have locked the files no one finds them. They need to
look for another key - those files our ours now and of no need to
anyone else. AA crossed a path they shouldn't have - they have no part
in the coming snow.

My guess is just that Eric is annoyed that 6op got "piggybacked". I'm assuming the 2 are separate still, but a) has Eric affected the AA game at all? and b) why is he so concerned about stopping us from playing both games?

Will post the rest over in the 6op thread.

You really think that a legitimate PM/character would lock another person's files - and keep them from the rightful owner - because he is 'annoyed'?

I still think these two games are connected, somehow.

Isn't Nevar Spanish for snow? And weren't things getting awfully Spanish over here for a while (y, viva EL cinco, etc)? I think one of these groups is the "good guys" and one is the "bad guys". Although one looks very professional (AA) and one looks more like an underground project (6op). Hmm.

However, it's still entirely possible that Eric's angry (rightfully so) cos his game got hijacked.

Yes, I am the one who posted that nevar was spanish for snow. I think there are too many connections to be ignored.

Who said the games aren't connected? I do believe they were mistaken.

I guess looking on Kyle's site for a feather. I've attached the avatar Augustine was using at the time of chat.
He had the message "Who is behind the cloak?" on his MSN description.

That feather looks like one from the Adobe Photoshop CS startup screen. Maybe it's a hint? Razz

Also, here's something quite interesting: nomennescio.org has 14 open ports. They are:
1 - (yes, one)TCPMux - tcp port multiplexer, which multiplexes more than one service through 1 port. Multiplexing is where multiple analog message signals or digital data streams are combined into one signal. The aim is to share an expensive resource, like phone lines. In the phone line case, several calls would be multiplexed through one line. (wiki)
21 - FTP
22 - SSH
53 - Domain
80 - Http
110,143,465,993,995 - Email (IMAP, POP, and SMTP)
443 - HTTPS (secure)
3306 - Database/MySQL
8009 - AJP13 (apache java server)

kyle tompkins has a flickr account (of course). couldn't find one for any of the AA's. all of kyle's pix are fairly old, though, so I'm not sure they have any signifigance.

ETA: scratch that! Aulus Agerius has one! I'm sure I'll add another ETA once I piddle around with it.

ETA again. check out the attachment. found on this flickr.

His hint is spot on. There's a screenshot on Flickr Razz

EDIT: He has a folder open on his taskbar called "The GL Solution". I googled - closest thing is http://csem.engin.umich.edu/swmf/documentation/HTML/SWMF/node231.html

Double edit: In computer terminology, GL means Graphics Library (like OpenGL, a 3D graphics framework used in games and 3D work. Think DirectX)

ETA again: it also appears Augustine Asimov has one as well - not sure why it didn't come up before.

Actually both of those go to Aulus. One is just a photo set called "Augustine Asimov".

I added numerius_negidiusSPLAThotmail.com to my MSN buddy list. he sent me a message today. in spanish. basically asking why I added him to my contact list. the name he goes by (no kidding): el ingenioso hidalgo don juan carlos, senor de mamalluca y caballero del fuego. his tagline thingy: el fary QEPD 1937-2007. referencing the ingengious don juan carlos of mamalluca, horseman of the fire. RIP el fary (famous spanish singer and actor who died of luncg cancer this past tuesday).

that's a lot to type out for someone who probably has nothing to do with this. but...his name/info intrigues me...

I just spoke with this gentleman on MSN. he barely speaks english. I mentioned this whole business to him. he seems to know nothing of it. I'm pretty sure he's not connected.

Nothing.

EDIT: Could Asimov be a reference to the scifi writer?

There is a note on the AA3 Flickr picture. The Search box is highlighted, and the note says "nomen nescio." I've searched for those terms - picture searches didn't bring up anything immediately attention-grabbing, but there's two profiles with similar names.

Search results here

I can't see any pictures or profile information for either, so I'm assuming I would have to add as a friend? I don't use Flickr so I'm not familiar with how it all works.

I've been thinking about that. Nothing we've seen points to that yet though...

Also, we have been thinking TGL Solutions meant "Terrible Gastric Lesions" per Augustine's blog. But it just hit me... the screen cap on Flickr has "The GL Solution". Does the T not equal Terrible? Which means GL does not mean Gastric Lesions? (Eww.)

ETA: I have flickr. I'm checking on NN.

ETA2: This is what I got:
"nomen nescio's photos fall outside your current SafeSearch filter.
You can click through to see them if you want."

I'm not entirely sure I want to see them, especially since it could end up OOG. Anyone else wanna have a go?
