THE KEYS ARE BASE 64!

My friend sent me some base64 code and it looked just like a key i saw. I dont have my own key, but someone should try their key.

http://makcoder.sourceforge.net/demo/base64.php

I could be wrong but i might eb right.

EDIT: Please discuss the keys in this thread. Thanks! --Phaedra

Base64 encoding is frequently padded with '='

This most commonly occurs with MIME encoding.

I don't have a key myself, so I can't do much work on this, but check i out here.

GUID

I hate to break it to everyone, but these seem to be standard GUID's. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it:

Quote:
The term GUID usually refers to Microsoft's implementation of the Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) standard;

Quote:
When printing fewer characters is desired, GUIDs are sometimes encoded into a base64 string of 22 to 24 characters (depending on padding). For instance:

7QDBkvCA1+B9K/U0vrQx1A
7QDBkvCA1+B9K/U0vrQx1A==

I thought this is what it was when I first saw my key, but have only grown more certain. Microsoft absolutely loves using GUID's, so I don't see any reason they WOULDN'T use them.

I know exactly what you mean Coffee...

My current job uses GUIDs as the PKs for pretty much all of their databases. I hate them with a passion and pine for the days of simple seeded values... Smile

By the way, if you ever need any help with something, I've got a lot of experience with LDAP and ASP.NET that I picked up in a baptism by fire method. Razz
