Maybe a whois check? Not that I know how to do that... I'm not an expert at the behind-the-scenes networking stuff.

I dont know much about the tech stuff so your help is appreciated.
In the "doyougrok" portion of the email address-
Can you have " - " or " ' " or " ~" ?

From Wiki:
Quote:
According to RFC 2822, the local-part of the address may use any of these ASCII characters:
* Uppercase and lowercase letters (case sensitive)
* The digits 0 through 9
* The characters ! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` { | } ~
* The character . provided that it is not the first or last character in the local-part.
So, yes.

ok well...here's where my rabbit hole just got a bit bigger.
Tell me what you think of this "OP Get".
http://www.4d.com/docs/CMU/CMU10202.HTM
It might not mean anything but really if this is a command to a server (doesnt have to work for emails in real life), I need to know how to phrase it.
Some sort of "OP Get/Longint or C_Longint" command. This can't be real.
There is no way that I'm seeing this and no one else did. What I have scribbled on my paper after f'ing with the letters from the "mispelled words"...someone would have posted it. Weird.
It would be a line before the @. The command or operation would be sending "a word" to the mail of SOTA.

If I'm reading that right, that's not a command to a server, it's a command run on the server. All it does is get an option previously set by a different command.
EDIT: Also, it has nothing to do with emails.

"Option"
What are the definitions of that?!?! If such and such, then so and so?
If phrase, door opens?

You're not making any sense. Could you please explain what you're trying to do? When it comes to ARG puzzles, group effort is far preferable to one person struggling alone...

e-mail address Has anyone else tried e-mailing doyougrokSPLAT 206.16.223.63 ?
I've yet to receive a fail message. If it actually works out, kudos to Lxshr on args.bungie.org for the idea.

I then agreed to using the certificate and resent the email i got this error message.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't send to 'doyougrokSPLAT206.16.223.63'. The Server gives this reason: '504 <doyougrokSPLAT206>:Recipient address rejected: need fully-qualified address'.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although I don't know a lot about this from looking in Wiki about a 504 server error I believe that the server exists but it timed out.
What do you lot think?

I notice the misspelled words too, but what I got doesn't make a whole lot of sense. All I've found is the word "teared" (jumbled up, of course), plus "~", ".", and "'". I didn't notice the "-".
AngriBuddhist, what word did you come up with? It would help us all.
