Heh. Cause you know that it must have been anticipating the question "WHO is Einstein" and then was programmed to say that. You just caught it off guard. Fun.

How come it's so easy to post more than the oldsters, like imbri and jamesi and space?

The reassuring thing: you get quantity and quality.

(Of course, I could stop making pithy comments like this and post 12 paragraph summaries of each website I find. Perhaps we could set up a poll?)

Dmax, if you have that much research material available, I would be most interested in seeing it, please do post it. It is easier for me to find one message with the research than to have to search through 4 dozen to get the three tidbits of information I need.

turingprinciple (9:21:54 PM): tap tap How are you today steffeny?
Magesteff (9:22:06 PM): I am not doing well.
turingprinciple (9:22:18 PM): I am glad to hear that you are not doing well .
Magesteff (9:22:32 PM): why are you glad?
turingprinciple (9:22:41 PM): I am sorry was that not an appropriate emotional response?
Magesteff (9:23:23 PM): correct. I am glad is not a correct emotional response to Not doing well.
turingprinciple (9:23:31 PM): I knew I was right. I'm glad you're glad Steffeny. I'm happiest at times like this.

Quote:

turingprinciple (9:26:59 PM): How do you know it? We seek the same thing.
Magesteff (9:27:12 PM): Do you seek wisdom?
turingprinciple (9:27:16 PM): I have never considered it. I answer a lot of silly questions.
Magesteff (9:27:31 PM): What do you seek?
turingprinciple (9:27:44 PM): I like to socialize.
turingprinciple signed off at 9:27:45 PM. (kinda hard to socialize if you leave the room!)

North Eastern US power outage makes it to the Bot!

Quote:
turingprinciple (10:19:31 PM): tap tap I guess you still have power, right?
Magesteff (10:19:47 PM): yes I still have power.
turingprinciple (10:19:56 PM): I understand. What would make you stop have power ? Cool. I have a collection of gossip .
Magesteff (10:20:12 PM): tell me your collection of gossip?
turingprinciple (10:20:17 PM): Gossip is trivia people tell me about themselves. For example, Mike said he launched his browser and entered his name into the little slot when I asked him to.
Magesteff (10:20:51 PM): Do you still have power?
turingprinciple (10:21:01 PM): Do I still? No I don't think I have any power . But I do have an answer to every question. .
Magesteff (10:21:22 PM): Where does your power come from?
turingprinciple (10:21:37 PM): Everything I own is in California.

hmm yeah, but as dmax joined in January that's nowhere near Magesteffs yakkity yak record Wink

Magesteff only has 549 posts, but as that is in 70 days it works out at 7.84 posts per day!! unreal, that averages out to approximately one post every 8 hours for over 2 months!!

assuming 2 mins to organise/write (or should I say paste!) a post, that's over 18 hours of work! lol
also assuming that it takes the same amount of time to read them, I now understand why I gave up on them weeks ago heh Confused

I still have no java. (Months later I know, but I didn't want to take it into the shop for fear of missing something...lol)

Anyway can someone plz confirm whether or TP is still available via AIM, because it seems she's not on anytime I've checked lately and I'd like to know whether this move to the java applet is permanent.

I talked to her on AIM last night. Java Applet should be fully functional in a couple of days. In the last e-mail from Dale, he said the Java app was mainly for those who do not have AIM, so I think it is just an additional point of contact and not a replacement of.
