If someone with some more experience making something like that finds anything wrong with it, feel free to totally change it. At least I actually got it set up...I've never done it before Very Happy

Also would be great to have a logo if anyone wants to make one.

Don't have the ability to restrict access here though so hopefully it can stay OOG.

*oh and you need to register to edit. The host is pretty new so it looks like they are still adding all of the features.

 		 Hello!
Hey guys,

I've been haunting this forum for a while now looking for a game that would be of interest (and was also not too far along). I'm going to leap upon this band waggon and just wanted to say a quick hi. Im a newbie to all this so bear with me a little if it takes me time to get stuff. Im also UK based so will no doubt I be posting when you guys are asleep, but there is little wrong with that!

To ask a question that has bamboozled me a bit . . . how did you find encryped files hidden within the image??

Welcome and good will hunting! There are programs that let you desteg a photo(bear with me i'm new to this also so this may not be exactly right but this is how i understand it) and it fins any files that someone may have embedded in a photo.

The files were encrypted with a program called Camouflage. When installed it adds a Camouflage/Uncamouflage option to the right click menu. Do this on the mentioned pictures.

If you go to the Tools forum they have a lot of great information on tools used in an ARG. I also just googled stenography and found out a lot of useful things.

 		hey guys I am new to this and wanted to jump in feet 1st to see if I could lend a hand in anyway...I googled Frank Sturgis and Israel and come to find out Frank Sturgis had ties to and may have even worked for the Mossad, the Israel Intellegence Agency, from the late 1940's well into the 1960's. Some people believe the Mossad had a whole lot to do with the JFK assassination. Do not know if this means anything or not....more to come.

I'm brand new, so I apologize if this is pointless or already considered. I hadn't seen it mentioned on the thread so far. 4693 translates into the most basic letter-number code as dfic. "error dfic" on google brings up information about "data file integrity check." Another search brought this information, which sounded close enough to the events of the error page to warrant posting.

" File Integrity Checkers
When a system is compromised an attacker will often alter certain key files to provide continued access and prevent detection. By applying a message digest (cryptographic hash) to key files and then checking the files periodically to ensure the hash hasn't altered a degree of assurance is maintained. On detecting a change an alert will be triggered. Furthermore, following an attack the same files can have their integrity checked to assess the extent of the compromise."

I'm not savvy enough to know where to go next, if anywhere.

Eh, I'm not either, but we never did figure out what the errror messege meant, if anything. So you may have a point.

Yes, we know all that already. That guy isn't the actual frank sturgis, not to mention he's dead anyway.

Wow... good job.. that may have actually been what was supposed to have led us to the encrypted files inside ACRM.

I think we're all playing the waiting game right now...

I think the poster was referencing the Israel part of the blog. We knew the man we called Frank referenced finding files pertaining to Cuba and also files labled "Frank Sturgis", but because the blog title "Nothingisrael" deconstructs to "Nothing Israel", the poster was connecting what we know of Sturgis to Israel. I'm not 100% sure the Israel reference is deliberate, but then again, I followed the bunny trail to the "Ilostmykeys" blog, and we know that was a deliberate fakeout.
