 		need references
hey folks. i've been following this trailhead for a while and thought i'd jump in to see if i could land a database management job at ARMC.

i've made direct phone contact with jerry baxter and, just like sharp & justing, i need a couple of references (phone #'s) to back up my fake resume. baxter told me that the job entails accessing and maintaing their servers from my home location. ARMC would give me access via passwords and whatnot. a trip to their headquarters in syracuse, ny all expenses paid was also mentioned (whoohoo!)....but i highly doubt it lol

this is my first arg so i'm pretty excited to get involved and help out. if anyone's down to be my reference (all i need is 2 of you) then hit me up!

All our contact info is now on NIR's blog, If CMRA "Finds" the blog, it's not hard to run a reverse phone number. I can probably figrue out all yalls number in 5 minutes apiece......

So, if we give our numbers to CMRA trying to get hired, and they know our numbers from the blog, I'm thinking Axe in the Skull. ((Or the in-game equivalent))

Am I makeing sense, or is this just a 1AM ramble?

I understand what your saying... That's why I posted what I did... I was the Anonymous post that wouldn't give info... ...Maybe morelaak is right and it doesn't matter... Maybe not... I guess we'll know if people start getting stuff in the mail... Rolling Eyes

*EDIT* - I just got a few of my buddies to be my references... I just told them what I sent and listed specific times that they can be called so they can kind of expect it... We'll see how it works out...

 		Hey, people! I just read through this entire forum, woo, and it looks really interesting.

If you need me to do research at any point, I'm here. but i'm not particularly comfortable giving my phone number out. I do live in the atlanta area however, and might be able to help out around there soon, but right now i'm in corpus christi, texas, and if they need anything there soon I can help as well.

I might warm to the idea of giving away my number, but i'm not sure if I'm allowed as of yet.

(I'm only fourteen. >.>)

Also, I had an idea. What if I or someone else emailed the site asking if they neededa security expert or web designer to help with any site. make it sound like a traditional email-everyone-you-can email? and then, if they respond, say you'll need total access to the site they need secured?

EDIT: Though, they might want to test us first on a non-important site, so they'd actually have to perform the service once or twice before they were trusted with anything actually important.

So you'd have to be really careful not to take anything/ do anything suspicious with sites in the beginning.

I dont really have any prior experience with ARG's. Do PM's generaly let you take the ball into your own court like that? Or are we supposed to be border collies, obediently fetching the stick...

 		Colori: I'm going that route with my resume, making it sound like I'm a highly trained Computer Security Expert/Cryptologist, but due to circumstances have been working freelance, working for growing/transitioning companies, retrofitting their security measures and updating their databases. Unfortunately, i need contacts first. Sad
