Yeah the quote I know was Frank saying something like 'Sci-fi is a very open genre, and out side of time travel, you can get away with a lot of stuff'

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
in the book ghosts of onyx, dr. halsey and some other spartens walk through a slipstream thing that i assume is an iris. i would love to see them in the ark trying to figure it out by the time someone inevitably gets in there. dr. halsey has been in all the books and is INTEGRAL to the halo story, but is never in the games. (what gives?)
...but i hope it's not a time shifter or something cuz as was said before time travel is a lil cliché. i want halo 3 to end in the biggest bang. changing things w/time travel is a little deus ex machina for one of the biggest franchises in history.

no no no, it would ruin the story with more spartans in halo,it won't be as epic. i'll get the book though.

And frankly, I don't think Dr. Halsley will ever make an appearence in the game... Bungie explicitly said that they aren't using the book's story line.
It was all just creative license.

well the forerunner's could go forward in time. so if you go far enough into the future.......do you end up at the beginning?

but dr. halsly IS cortana in a sense so why would they not include her somehow? i think she should be in the game. here's to neil blomkamp using book material as subplot for the inevitable movie (and if new line doesnt push oney now, wait till september 26th)
