Didn't we have a puzzle during ILB which at one point we thought could possibly be a barcode? That's sort of what the waveform pic thebruce posted reminds me of.

This might help a little more, this is a cropped waveform that I got with my audio editing software.

If anyone wants a better image of it, I can pm it to you, just let me know

Do you have the un-enhanced version of the wave file?

If so, it should be easy to extract the vocals.

You take the background sound that is being played on that page, and "inverse" it in your sound editor. Then, map it over the sound so that it is aligned with the original. It should cancel it out.

I'm sorry if I'm not explaining this well, I'll give you a real world example so it makes more sense.

Remixers often "rip" vocals from songs by taking a wav copy of the song that has both music and the vocals, and then they grab the kareoke version of the song that is purely instrumental. You "inverse" the instrumental, and paste it on top of that original version. If the music is aligned properly, it will cancel out the music and you are left with the vocals.

So I'm suggesting the same be done here to hear what the girl is saying. The clip you posted is too distorted to be able to filter in a meaningful fashion...I've tried cleaning it up and to me it sounds like a girl is saying "no place to go" or something like that.

If you have the original, unedited clip, you can also try a highpass filter (filter out 800hz) and then maybe a bandpass after that, to focus on the vocal range.

Also, check out my music at www.myspace.com/nrxic haha spam lolololz

Good luck! I'm off to bed, I'll be checking this thread later tonight to see if anyone has been able to make any progress.

If anyone knows how to isolate the background noise on the audio clip to do this, it seems like it would be awfully helpful. I don't have the original audio, or know how to do that (although I do have a program I could do it with, if someone wanted to direct me through it....).

Here's the basic reversed audio that I was speaking of earlier. Thanks to RyZombie for hosting

I was also thinking that the mouse-over sound changed.

Thats what I said yesterday. I pulled the sound file out of the flash, and there is a loud click at the beginning of the sound. It looks longer than the one in the background sound. I don't have the sound from the previous version to compare it to though.

I don't know if anyone has actually mentioned this yet, but the title of the server page has changed from server 05 open to server open

[Spec]Perhaps they are gearing up to use this as what we will see more servers at?

O.o Sharp eye... So is this Bungie fixing the fact that on Halo3.com, the name was listed as Server 1 and the site showed Server 5, or is this another omen of an impending clue?

I see it as a very sloppy and unorganized ARG and am getting very bored with it.

Maybe the clicking isn't anything except but a click to draw our attention to something. I got the idea from another thread (*http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19912) that this may be a way for the PMs to point us in the direction they want us to go.

We've noticed that the clicking follows the server around and seems to have a center point.

Here's where the sound is in the exact center:

It seems to be directly centered on the "Array_Recorder_Data.txt" button. The *previous discussion on that file didn't figure anything out, but perhaps we need to examine that file more in depth to push the story along.

That looks like the clickable icon and the lighted server icon are in alignment when it's centered like that. That may be something to focus on.

i think that whatever file the click is closest to is what needs to be checked out.

they are almost screaming it at us

just an opinion though

the blank icon on halo3.com and te position of the click are the same afterall

I think I read somewhere, and when I checked it out, it seemed the clicking was loudest when facing the Array Recorder Data. I read over it, but didn't see anything that hadn't been mentioned.

edit: embarassing -- apparently the place where I read that was just a couple posts up..haha..

The format of it has changed though. I've got a copy of the first one, and the second one. The second one doesn't have all the line breaks the first one does. It looks more together, than the first one.

I have only looked at the 2nd one, and didn't find anything...but it's not like i am a super sleuth.

edit: Also, when I download the array recorder data, my computer doesn't know what program to use to open it -- does that happen to anyone else?
