[NOT AN ARG] Question your truth

Hi guys, I'm a long time lurker on here but I finally decided join after getting a little curious about a myspace add a few days ago.

Ok so what happened was this person http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=286282438 added me at the end of November, I read the profile and got a bit curious as to weather it was someone genuine, a complete nutter, or a trailhead, but after the add I toatlly forgot about it.
Until today.
I was checking my myspace messages today when I found this:
Quote:
Dear helsinki vampire heart,

thank you so much for the comment:) it means a lot to me:)

just wanted to introduce myself properly...my name is anne carr and I live in london and I believe in absolute freedom.

i know we don't know eachother personally but I came across your page while on make an impact and you seem to be a creative person and i believe through our own creativity is the way we are going to make a difference in this world. i figured you are probably a good person.

I'm new to this whole myspace thing but it's actually pretty cool because it's a way to get connected with people you never would otherwise.

ps. i just posted a blog that will tell you a bit more about myself- (if you feel like it)it's an ongoing project though:)

wishing you a lovely day . I believe Together we really can make a difference. we should bring back the sense of community and support!

keep in touch:)

lots of love,
Anne
from the question the truth myspace.
Now I read the blogs and found a lot of references to something called "Mind", which I origianally thought to be the mental health charity mind, but apparently not.
There are also a lot of links to http://www.questionyourtruth.com/ which is a very curious site indeed, so now I'm pretty convinced that it's either a trailhead or a cult!
Can anyone else shead any light on this?

I would vote for cult (or just an alternative mind set) rather than a trailhead. Just in case though, I sent her a generic e-mail to see how she responds.

Ooh! I think I see it! It says "hidden" first. I thought it might be Base 64 but it doesn't decode to anything that I could recognize.

This site was first registered in 2005. Registration information renewed this year (every year it seem).
I'm not catching much ARG, more like, let's recruit you for our "cult."
TheMindClinic.com also appears to have been around for awhile.

what are you guys talking about?

Hi,

I just came across this page and too be honest I'm absolutely stunned.

If you read my page or the content on my site I thought I had explained what my intentions are and what I'm all about.

I'm just a person who is sharing my experiences, how does that equate to a cult?

Question Your Truth isn't an organisation and I'm not recruiting anyone - I just want to engage people and show that we can make a positive difference. In fact I don't want anything from anyone.

No-one can tell another person what to do and that's the last thing I want to do!

Sorry for sending out a letter trying to actually get to know people on MySpace - I thought that's why people joined up in the first place, how silly of me! Razz

Oh and as far as the "hidden" code on my site is concerned, this is the ASP.Net view state - look at any website built using ASP.Net and you will find the same. So, sorry no big conspiracy there either Very Happy !

Anyway I hope you guys have a great weekend.

Lots of love Anne

I'm going to go ahead and question the "Anne" post above; it could be a possible gamejack. I doubt an IG character would come on these forums and post, unless it's been done before, which to my memory, it hasn't. Confused

It's against the Terms of Service for characters to post on unfiction. If it turns out that she is a character, please let me or another admin know so that we can take the appropriate action. Thanks Smile

I've uh, had my run ins with cults, so I'm going to say this runs along their lines. Also, the email the OP recieved from the girl coicides grammatically and structurally with the post by Anne. I think they're the same people.
