In the Halo universe "Matrix" is generally used to refer to whatever physical device/network houses an AI. The term is used very loosely. An AI can reside on a network of computers, for example, which would be considered a matrix. AI's can also reside in a tiny crystalline cube which contains their "matrix."

So if the first post is still valid..

Wouldn't the first post from today (a pulse) be AR finding something that has a pulse. Finding life and then examining it?

Wouldn't the second post from today (veins of ice and poison) be a report of what was found? Maybe from whatever was found. Maybe it took over what AR was? Or anyway, the thing that was found is "talking" to AR - not to us directly - asking AR for help or AR to wait.

Is there any reason why this thing is posting on the bungie forums? Any in-game reason given?

To me that line looks like it is saying that the <53LPH54> set of numbers is the position of "X.XX.713" (maybe ghost.713 or the ghost of the original AR).

I know that it could be an IP address has already been mentioned. Is there any way it could be a GPS location?

this may be trout but in that 3d quicktime video of the worthog, besides seeing the flashs of occasional text that make up the hidden message, there were three green wire frame still shots of the worthog as well, Was that in the movies back then as well?

And as to the poem some have alluded to a poor blind man, could they be referring to the bible's Mark 10:46-52? I researched this and found the following link on google,
