So sue me if I *AM* being sentimental. Sorry Higgs, that is just the way I'm built. We're HAVE to find the way to worship Mithras ourselves. Maybe reaching the Pater level before MrAJ gets his reincarnation.
Speak to Mithras ourselves; Beg Mithras ourselves. Is that what you think you will find in that book? We have to get that book. *But we cannot risk you inside the nave now.* You have to stay out of the reach of the Trinity, and you cannot ask Nedd for the chant. Mr AJ is getting too close to his goal of 30 souls. We haven't heard from Jean Moulin yet - so we don't know if he is locked up down below or will be able to work with us & Higgs.

Happy is trying to free the Trinity by finding their portals in the outside world according to the maps that were sent out by the Nun - if they are sent to the in-between, then they cannot take any more souls for the Eidolon. Maybe Happy will find the answers and will be able to confront the Eidolon when it is inhabiting Kevin's body (which it apparently does most of the time now).

But we need to figure out the secret from the inside. Because, despite what Higgs said, I'm not leaving them behind. I will go back into the nave at the end of my pass, I will continue working up the initiate levels and
maybe I can attain the Pater level. No, not maybe, I will. Because Mithras is about truth, and light (not dark and creepy) and Mithras will allow my advancement to his side. So what ever book you find, maybe you can send me a copy of the important pages? We need some chant, some ritual (maybe only those on the Pater level can perform it - maybe you have to be that level to find it - cause we can't find it) that will allow Mithras to hear our pleas and listen to the real truth.

I may not be available much this weekend. I think I have to spend some time inside the nave to show my devotion but my pass is good at least until next week so I'll be back. If there is something pressing,
sallyyyyy (aka chixor1) may be able to find me. I've sent a copy of Higgs' message to Mister Gerold and to Happy (she needs to know that I won't leave Ben behind).

I have to get back to the nave now.

i did know about happy. she wrote to me with the news and i am sending a friend of mine to watch her back. it's kinda important to me. as great as the singing and the dancing nun is, i remember what happened to barney when we met her at st. barts in new york. don't worry, this friend will take care of her if anything goes wrong. we can't lose our happy. what else? oh, yeah, i agree, we are not leaving anyone behind. my only worry are those wandering in the "in-between". is there any way we can get to them? i guess we can worry about that detail later. stay safe, kona.

 		Arcana imperii can also mean 'secrets of the empire' or 'secrets of rule.' (What is passed down from one ruler to another to ensure the well-being of the empire.) Arcana is literally translated as 'sacred secret'.

ETA: Could this be what AJ's first blog we found was referring to when it read, "The Secret Sits"???

When's the last time anyone tried to email Betty? It's been over a week since she gave us this, and I'm starting to get suspicious since we haven't heard anything else about this book.

 		I emailed Betty on Jul 21 (3 days ago). It was an update about the recent events. I didn't mention the book, though, because that information was given to kona and Chixor, I don't think that I would have had an IG way of knowing about it.

Anyway, she hasn't answered.....yet.

Perhaps drizjr can suggest to Betty to use the blog as a means to put down in writing what she would want to say to Barney - like a diary or blogging, it can be very therapeutic.

Then Barney can decide to answer her or not as he sees fit (and drizjr can let him know that Betty wants closure). She never has to know he was chained to Eidolon (and we won't tell her what a hero he was, unless he lets us tell her after the fact).
