Woo, I think Boston will be great.

And, yes there is a formal group organizing this. Right now it consists of me, Space, Gupfee, xnbomb, Giskard, thebruce (kona I hope will run the museum again)...volunteers are always welcomed. We probably can't start with much more until after the holidays. Smile

Late July is perfect! I think I'll be on summer break from my evening courses so I'll just have to book some time off work. I'll be sure to get everything marked down when the details appear. Smile

As always, much thanks to the guys organising this. I know it takes a hella lotta work to get one of these things organised.

w00t!

If it's good enough for Webster, it's good enough for me.

Anyway... I might be able to make it to this! My parents keep bugging me about visiting colleges over my summer break--including some up in New England--and late July would be the perfect time to take a trip up north. Smile

Not bad, expedia says cheapest tickets would be $268 per person round trip if departure date is the 24th of July, we can definitely do that!

ETA: is there anything else going on up there during this time frame? Other than the fact that GreenFairy's dad lives up there, so we'd want an extra day to visit him, it is summer so taking a week or 2 isn't an issue

ETA (again): OOOHHHH! JUMPCON is the weekend of the 17th!

Before anyone gets too excited, I'd like to point out that Harborfest is the July 4th week and best avoided due to insane crowds and lack of hotel rooms. Anything else on that list won't generate enough tourist traffic to interfere with our plans.

I'd also like to point out that there is certainly plenty to do in this area during July. Smile I'll put together a more general list of attractions when I get a chance, if anyone's interested.

ArgFest-o-con?

What is this convention (I'm kinda new here), and how many people usually attend? I live in Massachusetts to, so if it's going to be in Boston, I can go Smile

Boston is definitely something that is within the realm of possibilities for me. A nice list of attractions would be great in case I decide to bring the fam along.

Certainly!

Right now, focus is on setting a definitive date, which has to do with, among other things, hotel rates and availability. As soon as a date is decided on, we will probably start on getting a website for ARGfest online and put all relevant info on there. This will most certainly include a list of stuff to do in and around Boston.
