nerid is a game jack being done by a forumer, I am not revealing who it is because there's no reason to. I spoke with "Van" (Who actually told me he was van while talking with him) and "Ethan" (Who didn't say he was Ethan but did say that he wrote the journals, it is not Tom BTW tho the writing is similar) I specifically asked about Nerid (necromm.net) to see if they would say anything useful; they told me who made it (at least they told me who contacted them about taking over right around the time the site went online) and verified the site is completely Out of game.

Got a message from Van telling me to go to EHWR and put in the secret code (I assume you all got this). Problem is, I still don't know what the code is. Did anyone ever confirm that it's "divinus" or "54312"? If it's not one of those, what is it?

On the Alpha Omega community boards, it's been confirmed that "the code" is the word you see after completing the last puzzle on the EHWR site. If you completed the puzzles on your current computer, your browser may have stored this information for future reference.

If so, you will see the code at the top of the box here:

There are sites not spoken of on unfiction (yes, they are watching us here Razz) that are "community related" that are "used commonly" that have not been found and reported that include more information. I assume they are referncing something relating to My Space or Live Journal etc. (no time to check till after con) We have missed updates to previously found pages.

the divinus page; they are aware of the fact we have the site address, as to if the page will be posted it's currently "maybe"

ethan's journals; there are more of them, THE WATERMARK WORD IS NOT A CLUE, it was apparantly part of the paper on which the journal pages were written that doesn't show to the naked eye, it's an unintentional red herring (verified by ethan himself - the journal writer that is) I did comment about more of the pages being released and it did seem to meet with a positive comment so I'd keep a close look.

After further review of all the known pages, I don't buy this. All the pages, short of direct linking to the AO site, are still identical to the day they were originally discovered. And they make it sound like there's a lot of "in game" pages; there are only seven pages (four journal pages, the Mezin blog, the Triton main page and the Triton PDF).

Also, not many people seemed to be interested in their "game" anymore... Hell, Bix has disappeared off the face of the Earth even.

Combat demos start at the con tomorrow, I'm gonna check it out and see what it's like! Smile

Any news on this? I see no mention of the outcome anywhere.

There are several pages that have been missed.

I'd assume bix has either moved on to another active ARG or is waiting for more releases.

The demo for the combat system was nice, it's got a lot of complexities built in and a ton of customization available. They are still fine tuning items before release and just barely left con last night; I wouldn't expect an update with that for a little bit. They did say they were thinking of posting the combat demo character sheets on site so people could see what they are like.

I just got home, way tired, time to sleep.

If you have any questions of my few days talking with MSL feel free to ask, ill answer what I know.

This is me with a thoroughly stunned expression on my face.

They're still fine tuning their combat system and they're taking preorders?

Maybe their business model is selling 'corrected' versions of their manual every year.[/quote]

I have not been privy to the contents of the missing journal page, I have seen a data file for it (accidentally) and have been informed by 2 members of the staff that there are additional pages online that have not been uncovered yet.

They are finalizing details, not related to the combat system, before the book hits print. The combat system has been in complete for a while from what they told me. You misinterpreted my comment, sorry.

Boy did I get an ARGish email.
Trout me if it's been seen before, I'm only watching this on the sidelines and ONLY because Van's still emailing me:
This is what he wrote.

Quote:
Triton Enterprises apologizes to our customers and the families of our employees for the recent events at our Washington State facility.

Acts of sabotage to our new facility and our website have taken a heavy toll on our resources and staff. We lost several employees in the brutal act of terrorism including our Press
Secretary Kellie Graham.

Data gathered by our internal security teams and Federal law enforcement all point to a small paramilitary group bent on disrupting our work towards a better humanity.

New press secretary Jill Davidge states, "We have moved our research facility off shore to ensure we can continue our work without distraction"

If you had any pending orders with Triton they will be processed as soon as possible. If you were waiting for a job interview we will be in contact with you shortly.

Strange how Van Mantra has emailed me a Triton Enterprises letter....

Also tritonenterprises.net is like it was at the beginning with a new PDF.... Seems like there was an attack.
This show's back on the road, I think. Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

- I got an email first from Van Mantra, then the exact same email from Triton.

- The new Triton PDF, in the document properties, shows Tom McLaughlin as the author.

Seems like they're just rushing this thing out now rather clumsily.

I had completely lost all interest in this because of how badly it was handled. Over the last few days I have gotten emails from van and triton again. Just wondering if there could still be some life left in this arg or not.

The email from van had one line different in it than the triton one. Also, the triton pdf as the word m e m o r i a l with spaces like that hidden in it at the end.

Quote:
Due to the recent security breach at our new Washington State facility the Triton Enterprises Board of Trustees has decided to shut the facility down permanently and relocate the companies advanced R&D to a more secure location. Newly appointed press liaison Jill Davidge stated, "Even though the security breach was minor we don't want to jeopardize any of the work currently planned or underway"

And yet in the press release it states that most of the facility was destroyed and several lives were lost...

Is this supposed to look like it was just tossed together?
