 		At the very least, that is a very cool bird. Reminds me of one of Stephen King's Taheen.

I'll look into it.

UPDATE: Did a whois on EHWR and ff0000. Didn't find any similarities....

WOAH. I found one of their clients.

A certain Paramount Vantage.

UPDATE: Well, this place is definitely legit. No parody would be so elaborate.
But what does it mean?

 		Okay, so they made the site and Paramount IS a client, which would explain why they would remove the videos from youtube.... and I got nothin besides that. God, I hate waiting....

 		Aaaalright. I've gone through the entire thread and have ended up with a few confusions, but somewhat updated than I was before, and also with new opinions.

First... a question: how did you get from here to there on some of these things?

Somewhere along the line there were a few websites and emails mentioned. Okay... I missed something. I thought I was following this discussion along pretty well, until all of a sudden a few members just said out of the blue: "Hey I emailed the new owner of the Ethan Hass game and I got this... yada yada." I saw van's email mentioned here. Emailed him, got a nice little email back. However there is no "I found a new website by doing this" or "I found a new email by solving this", it's just "I went to this website (that I'm assuming everyone already knows about)". Um... no... how did you find that website in the first place?

Perhaps a "What has happened so far" post would be nice.

Also, here's a question: Who wants this Ethan Haas business to be related to the Abrams movie? I see the sermon to "wait it out" and those seem to be the most true words.

Speaking for myself, I can't even remember where I first heard of the main EHWR site. But we know that EHWW.blogspot is in-game, because they refer to themselves as the Mezin, and Van Mantra (original owner of EHWR) has referenced the Mezin.

So that's two sites in-game.

And now the current owner of the EHWR domain is someone from a company called Triton Enterprises. So that site (when it becomes unparked) will be in-game as well, somehow.

That's the current chain of confirmed sites.

Shocked You've got to be kidding?
EHWW is a total attempt at gamejack and every time you post the link in this forum you are adding to this guys ego, or his hits (are you shilling?) ANYONE can create a blogspot and refer to any ingame characters or websites.

So, a game refers to Sammeeeees. I create a blogspot that says WeAreSammeeeees.blogspot. OMG, that's IG!!!!!

Same logic you just used. Guess what. Doesn't work that way.

Only way to guarentee the site is IG is when the original site actually sends you to the other site (via a message or puzzle) or has a direct link from the known IG site.

So far this is only ONE confirmed IG site, the original EHWR site.

 		I first saw the site about a week ago, when I was on IRC and a friend linked me to it (he had been linked to it by a friend, also).. I was surprised to hear that no-one from uF had heard about it.

We spent a hour or two solving all the puzzles, and in my honest opinion I really don't think this has anything to do with the new JJ Abrams' movie Laughing

Um, no. When one unconfirmed site refers to its authors as the Mezin Source (as EHWW.blogspot does), and then LATER ON the character who owns the confirmed EHWR site (Van Mantra) has his phone hacked by the Mezin and specifically references this fact, and the name Mezin, in email, that's an in-game character telling us that EHWW.blogspot is in-game.

I first came across Ethan Haas in this July 6 entry from SCI FI Wire about Cloverfield - but they too failed to say where they heard about it from...

However, archangel_7 in the haaswasright Livejournal has taken the step of e-mailing one of the news sites - in this case USA Today - and asking them up front how they know Cloverfield and Haas are related. Might be worthwhile for more people to be leaning on the news sites and asking this question...
