Actually, it would seem that nobody at all is paying attention to my posts. I live in New York and the area filmed, so far in my searches, does NOT match up with a IRL location, because the layout of the buildings and that fact that some of them do not even exist. Unless there was an actual street address or (heaven forbid) a street sign available ANYWHERE in the trailer, we do NOT in fact know where the apartment is located. My best bet, based on the large glowing building in the background, would be near Madison Park, and not the actual street address of "401 Broadway" which is on Canal in Soho.


I'm sure you already realize this, but movies are almost never filmed on location. So what is researching the exact location going to do for you? We know the general vicinity of where they're "supposed" to be partying at.

I just think it's moot to keep picking apart something as simple as exactly where this is actually at. I mean, if that's the case, might as well go ahead and debug thousands of other movies to see if the cities/background/props actually EXIST.

Erm, I can't remember where, but I've seen someone post a photograph of that street, from the same general spot where they pour out of the building, looking down towards where the head comes from.

 		Holy crap. I've been reading for three days and I finally made it to the end of this thread. You guys post fast.

Anyway, I'm a n00b following the game. First ARG for me. Disappointed that Ethan Haas apparently has nothing to do with it, but I'm still looking forward to discovering what that's all about...separately from 1-18-08, of course.

I'll be even more disappointed if 1-18-08 turns out to be a Lost movie. I don't watch network TV, so I have no frame of reference for understanding anything about the Lost 'verse. Same with Alias. I never would have recognized Slusho.

Speaking of which, I emailed Satoshi and just got the same form response that everyone else got. I tried to ask some pointed questions, though. "I'm sad. I've only had six Slusho's. What will happen to me if I drink a seventh Slusho?" If I get any further responses, I'll post them.

I'd really like to see this alleged second trailer.

One last thing, I registered for this site, but I must have missed an account activation step. When I try to log in, I'm told that the account is inactive and that I need to contact the administrator. Can anyone point me in the direction of the admin and/or his/her email address? I really need some help on this. Thanks.

You need to make sure that you use a valid e-mail address when you register, because the forum backend (PHPBB) sends out an e-mail to that address requiring you to click on a link to activate the account.

So if you used a fake e-mail, then well, you're shit out of luck.

When you go to www.1-18-08.com the 12:01 pic is always on top of the 12:36 pic... it's always like that... is it just because of the time? 12:01 before 12:36?

 		The second trailer is in the same DV camera vein as the first, but where it popped up is unknown - it spread throughout YouTube quickly until Paramount started sweeping through - it's legit.

It involves a camera in a car - it's completely silent, seems normal, no traffic, no music, no dialogue (I lied, there is a car in front of the camera - as if following, but it's just traffic I would guess)

Then a car in an oncoming lane on the left is crushed by two pole-thingamajiggers.

That's it.

having looked at the trailer with the scene of donut shirt man running I would like to bet my life on the fact that those are not reflections, They move with the man as he turns right and there is no way a reflection could stay in the same place on someone while they were moving. Now, they could be CG'd in there but simple reflections they are not. Both donuts are on his shirt which makes me think crazy shirt pattern. And I believe it is not visible earlier in the trailer because of the angle the guy is sitting or the fold of the shirt
