^What I'm talking about, for reference.

The obvious first option for these cups was to try Morse code. Using empty up = dot and full cup = dash, and assuming any cup that is slightly raised means that symbol alone (single dot = E, single dash = T), I came up with this first:

(left to right) I R S E and A A T S

Plug those into the anagram server at http://wordsmith.org/anagram/index.html and the most interesting result (given the Slusho! history) was SEA ASTIR.

But then I tried it from Right to Left (how Japanese is written) and came up with this even more promising result:

(right to left) I R S E and C T E

Put THAT through the anagram server, and the biggest result is SECRET I.

But that's as far as I can get! I'm too exhausted to try anything else - can someone put this to use??

Funny coincidence. I did a google for SEA ASTIR and came up with this.

The endless tableau of the lunar orb - dead now, whatever her past was, and cold as the unhuman sepulchres she bears amid the ruin of dusty centuries older than men - and the sea - astir, perhaps, with some unkenned life, some forbidden sentience - confronted me with a horrible vividness.

that seems a little TOO coincidental. Maybe you're onto something.

i doubt that very much. if it was a clue, i doubt it would be a small fragment of a sentence of a short story.

A short story that just so happens to be by H.P. Lovecraft? yeah, no connection there, what was I thinking.

The same phrase also appears in poems by Homer and Virgil, if Google & Amazon are to be believed.

my apologies, after reading up on his hand in the cthulhu mythos, i believe you might be onto something. i just dont get why this would involve cthulhu as someone stated earlier in this thread there is already being a cthulhu movie being made.

Music: I don't know the first song at all, but the second is Timbaland for sure (maybe a remix of Sexy Back), and the final song is a remix of WOMAN by Wolfmother. I kept reading that it was another song, but it is definitely a dance-y version of Woman.

Timbaland "The Way I Are"

The reason people keep heading towards the Cthulhu mythos is due to remnants of the clues we thought were connected to the Ethan Haas incident - the Ethan Haas games may well be related to Cthulhu, but there is no solid evidential basis for Cloverfield/Slusho being at all relative to the Cthulhu mythos.

Alright. Questions:

What currently are all the official in game websites connected with all this?

What are the ingame emails?

What are the ingame phone numbers?

I don't have the time to go and read the story right now but it may be worth a go.

Ok there is no direct links but at a glace there are things that stick out at you imidetly. Looking at the all the dead ends at the moment this does at least seem remotly related though it may turn out to be another freak occurrence.

Here is a version that is slightly easier on the eyes.

www.1-18-08.com
www.slusho.jp not confirmed per say, but very probable

hnryklvnSPLATyahoo.com is the email for the registrant of 1-18-08.com
sk7087SPLATgmail.com is the email for the registrant of slusho.jp
satoshiSPLATslusho.jp is an alternative email for slusho.jp which produces an auto-reply

Sites - 1-18-08.com, slusho.jp

e-mails - satoshiSPLATslusho.jp

Phone - Nada.

That's it. There's more, but we don't know. Stay away from Ethan Haas, it's unrelated.

EDIT: I also can't help but wonder what good e-mailing the registrants is, have any of us gotten any replies?

After I started following this thread this morning I started listening to Wolfmother radio on Last.fm. I'm fairly sure the remixed version of Woman popped up in the playlist. If that's true it should appear in my recent track history for 10th July at some point in the next 12 hours or so.

This of course will have nothing to do with the arg, but it might help if anyone wants to track down who did that tune. Smile
