I've checked the source of 1-18-08 and slusho.jp... Both sites want exactly to know how's visiting their sites. (Google Analytics stuff).
Also the programming Style is quiet the same...

Still wading through all of this, but have we decided once and for all that "Cloverfield" as the Santa Monica Airport is an intentional dead end?

On one hand, it might be wise to name your project after an intentional dead end, to protect the names of those oog who utter it's name. On the other hand, it's information intentionally placed in front of us.

I called up the airport, and no one is filming anything there right now, so it's probably not the filming site. If the movie takes place in NY then a dual setting in LA seems difficult (though not impossible), a large leap for us to make without further evidence. That evidence would be another character or organization's tie to the place, or to the FAA. The "another Cloverfield" hypothesis doesn't flow well with the phone number. My money is on the dead end hypothesis, but we should keep on picking at it.

Now that is curious. Maybe he just hasn't been addressed officially on it yet.

I had posted earlier that on the Wikipedia page for Cloverfield, someone had edited it to add one line which read something like this

"Anastasius Balkin Zeno has the answer"

The first three letters of the license plate are ABZ.

Apparently this line was only up for about 15 minutes before being taken down.

If this has already been debunked, just ignore it and don't flame. I understand that it is probably BS. And right now I don't know what to believe. They denied some of the Lost Experience stuff when it was going on as well.

Already debunked as being a domain name registered on July 10th to capitalize on the buzz. I'll take that debunking further and point you down that page to some of their links on the sidebar, specifically to Yooter InterActive Marketing Agency...

The registrar for abz3293.com identifies its name server (some technical DNS stuff, if you don't know) as NS1.YOOTER.NET and its registrant's address as being in Pottsville, PA -- the address for Yooter.com is on Pottsville-Minersville Highway in Minersville, PA

(later added for clarification):
now look at http://www.tribbleagency.com/ and notice how they link to Yooter, which owns abz3293, and you might understand why they are blogging about how JJ Abrams doesn't give them the time of day.

Basically, they're pulling your leg.

On the abz site, which can be considered shill for 1-18 regardless, I did see the above in reference to sites that have linked to the abz site.

I checked them out, they're sites that 1. in no manner *would* have any reason to link back to abz site, and mostly 2. after scouring about 4 of them in no manner *did* link to abz site. Under the links there is an image, a png by the name t. I swiped it and went to look but it crashed my graphics program so blew it off.

The 100+ comments left on the site are funny tho.
