I think they still might be updating it right now, because whenever I go to the downloads page the Logo just stays in the middle and I can't click anywhere else.

Here. I'll debunk this right now.

and it contains a hidden span of text: "it arrives 1-18-08"

All the hallmarks of a fan site, created *after* the buzz got going. It's a game-jacking. Ignore it.

Downloads and History every other time you scroll over those buttons a duck appears saying "Just another Slusho Update for you"

Oooook, so I went and checked out the Slusho! site to see if anything had changed (i'm no pro, but i'm curious) and the site totally freaked out on me when I clicked the history page. The music started overlapping over itself, the Audio on/off button doesn't work, and I took a screen shot of the other weirdness, maybe it's a glitch but it never messed up on me before.

ETA: the home button didn't work either. So I clicked downloads at the bottom and just got a blank page.

like I said, we probably just caught them in the process of updating it because the same thing happens to me except only on the downloads page.

i agree it does sound diffrenmt

The sound is indeed different. I was lucky and grabbed the swf files before this update. Interestingly the old files do not exist on the server at all.

They updated www.slusho.jp again.

This time with an option on the upper right to turn sound off. I recommend people comb the site to see if anything else new was put in.

Yep...several changes.

1) There's now an animation to move you from page to page. The old page kind of swooshes away, the word Slusho moves to front and center and empties of color to white, then fills again as it moves to the top of the new screen.

2) The Japanese words along the bottom of the sub-pages now match the ones on the home page.

3) The Downloads page has changed again. Now the children don't give you the clickable finger when you mouseover them, nor do they giver their slogan thought bubbles.

EDIT: The music is still the same as it was. The animals that pop up when you mouseover the buttons are the same, too.

I think you guys are all missing/ignoring what was found earlier.

Under the history part of the Slusho site, if you put your mouse over the donkey, you see a picture of a mitten and when you put the mouse over the fish you see processed cheese.

This refers to the two site found earlier. Google "donkey mittens" and you find The Adventures of Clover. That website is powered by something called Processed Cheese as found as a link on the bottom of the wierd blog. These sites may look unrelated, but the Processed Cheese and Slusho sites look very similar to me. Both use a similar menu setup, both using flash, and both are under construction, displaying similar word bubbles "uhh...coming soon" and "Slusho updating for you. You will come back soon." I think these similarities are too odd to pass up.

The music definitely changed. One of the notes is higher than its counterpart in the unchanged Slusho page. Can't think of any other way to describe it...

I'm honestly not hearing the difference. Of course I don't remember the old song. Razz

I don't think we've forgotten it. Most just decided there weren't any strong links to consider it in-game. Lots of places use Flash. Lots of places use bubbles to convey text. It's a strange site, but the guy's an avant-garde graphics designer whose work has apparently been around for quite a few years (a couple of the album covers were recognized).
