Wait... Did the little blue bubbles always turn red when selected, or am I losing my mind and grasping at straws here?

Ya, there were no trademarks on the site for Slusho, and I've been looking for trademarks/copyrights recently added by Bad Robot/Paramount and for Slusho specifically, but none were listed. I guess they wanted to stop people from making t-shirts or something.

Trademark signs are new. That was one of the changes.

Question is, what else did they fiddle with, and is there anything we can learn from it?

Hit the Slusho thread..I've posted several changes there.

Kayberry, there's something there for which your particular expertise would be useful (you build Flash sites, yes?).

Perhaps they're "trademarking" Slusho! with a fake company/website, which will be the next clue....

I know, I know, grasping at straws, but it's a nice thought.

Ethan Haas might actually have something to do with 1-18-08

I found this on the Ethan Haas Was Wrong Blog
-------------------------------------
IP Address relation between
ethanhaaswasright.com site and
badrobot.com

Found on
blog.myspace.com/godgravity

1-18-08, Cloverville, ethanhaaswasright.com

Regarding all these websites ( 1-18-08.com, ethanhaaswasright.com, etc) that seem to be related (although Abrams' "letters" refute the ethan sites), I have some "g33ksp34k" to relay...

... a lookup/whois of www.1-18-08.com yields:

Registrant:
Henry Kelvin
1424 East 9th Street
New York, NY 10003
US
Domain name: 1-18-08.COM
Administrative Contact:
Kelvin, Henry hnryklvnSPLATyahoo.com

C:..Users..gravity>ping www.1-18-08.com

Pinging a1080.g.akamai.net [216.246.87.42] with 32 bytes of ..

Reply from 216.246.87.42: bytes=32 time=42ms TTL=50
Reply from 216.246.87.42: bytes=32 time=41ms TTL=50

Now let's do the same with the Ethanhaaswasright.com site...

Registrant:
Triton Enterprises . NET
PO Box 1300
Stevenson, WA 98648
us

Domain name: ETHANHAASWASRIGHT.COM

Administrative Contact:
Schneckel, John johnschneckelSPLATgmail.com
PO Box 1300
Stevenson, WAS 98648
us
+1.5092328996

... ah, a bit different information. In fact, the only similarity is that they both used Tucows to register these domains (not uncommon or at all surprising). A ping to the Ethan website yields:

C:..Users..gravity>ping www.ethanhaaswasright.com

Pinging www.ethanhaaswasright.com [64.13.229.76] with 32 bytes of ..

Reply from 64.13.229.76: bytes=32 time=76ms TTL=48
Reply from 64.13.229.76: bytes=32 time=77ms TTL=48

Running on a 64 IP address is way off of the mark as far as the original one.

But who's this Triton Enterprises listed as running the Ethan Haas website?

Let's look at Triton instead...

Registrant:
Domains by Proxy, Inc.
DomainsByProxy.com
15111 N. Hayden Rd., Ste 160, PMB 353
Scottsdale, Arizona 85260
United States

Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: TRITONENTERPRISES.NET
Created on: 23-May-07
Expires on: 23-May-08
Last Updated on:

Administrative Contact:
Private, Registration TRITONENTERPRISES.NETSPLATdomainsbyproxy.com

DomainsByProxy.com

(480) 624-2599 Fax -- (480) 624-2599

AH-HA! DOMAINSBYPROXY! These guys allow anyone to SECRETLY register a domain name so that another cannot reference back to the original registrar under any circumstances. Even by law, these is subject.

But there's another trick to be tried:

tritonenterprises.net =

C:..Users..gravity>ping tritonenterprises.net

Pinging tritonenterprises.net [208.109.78.10] with 32 bytes of ..

Reply from 208.109.78.10: bytes=32 time=94ms TTL=110
Reply from 208.109.78.10: bytes=32 time=93ms TTL=110

OK.. so Triton's running on the 208(plus subnets).. gotcha

Bad Robot (listed as the production company openly during the trailer's credits):

C:..Users..gravity>ping www.badrobot.com

Pinging badrobot.com [208.109.78.139] with 32 bytes of ..

Reply from 208.109.78.139: bytes=32 time=90ms TTL=46
Reply from 208.109.78.139: bytes=32 time=88ms TTL=46

GOTCHA!

So.. let's do a quick recap...

BadRobot = 208.109.78.* = Tritonenterprises.net

Tritonenterprises.net (runs/in charge of) EthanHaasWasRight.com

therefore.. in some way or another

EthanHaasWasRight MUST be somehow related to BadRobot (producing Cloverfield/1-18-0Cool since both sites are directly ran by TritonEnterprises.net (or on the exact same IP subnet series)

So, JJ is telling everyone it's not connected but it is, eh? Has he done this before? I think we need to email AICN this and ask him to email them.

What if it's not related to Slusho! but another project of his?

Well, they could just be two unrelated properties owned by Paramount.

How long has that badrobot site been around? There's a good chance it's more gamejacking.

That was my belief, but I just thought that you guys might want to see that.

Simpler Look at the Pictures on the Site

So I'm trying to look at things a bit simpler now, because I keep getting the feeling we're looking too hard and missing more obvious things.

Seeing as we're all agreeing that Abrams is a fan of messing with numbers, how about the number of people in each picture, in order of time, is part of the code? Also, the freaky girl in the party picture's number is also part of it?

I know that doesn't give us much, but I'm trying to look out for more stuff like this.

Also, I know some people are still a bit wary on whether Slusho.jp is part of all of this. I know it doesn't "prove" anything, but seeing as both sites got updated on the same day, one being a soft drink that was invented by the guy behind all of this... I think it's pretty close to proof that someone is looking out.

Another thing, seeing as I'm new to the ARG world, are adding/changing things in the midst of the game frowned upon? Also, is it really that far-fetched to believe that sites that were started way before might not have joined in to help?

From the look of this Processed Cheese guy, it sounds like he'd be all for a project like this!

That is what I am thinking.
