Ethan Haas is completely unrelated to cloverfield. I think it's become obvious that Ethan Haas is some kind of Lovecraft game and 1-18-08 is something completely different. At best, it's nothing but a very good red herring meant to throw us off. Paramount taking down both videos simply isn't enough evidence. The parasitemovie site is on a godaddy domain, it was created this morning. It is very simple html that any loser trying to throw us off track could have made in 2 minutes.

1-18-08.com has given us plenty to chew on. The pictures, the whois addresses, etc.

How about the numbers in the upside down picture? Blue K's post shows that there are enough digits for a phone number. We just need to find out A. What the number on weird girl's shirt? (who knows, maybe another pic will clear this up) and B. Where does it fit into the number sequence? (in my opinion, the number on her shirt is on the very edge of the picture, so sequentially it should be first. So if the mystery number is ?, the phone number should be 1-800-?55-1773.

Also, back to the washington masonic monument in Alexandria, VA. It is the only real address we have been given and I really think it's our best lead. The monument has a website:

 		For what it's worth it looks like the girl with the freaky number in the Rob pic can be spotted in the bootleg trailer at about :35 (on gaming life site).

Something is up. Who bootlegs a trailer? Why would Paramount pull it? Once a trailer is out there you can find it everywhere. Why not this one?

The bootlegging of a trailer, and the pulling of both the trailer and the EHWR videos, just seems part of the ploy. Didn't Paramount at first 'deny the film's existence'? It just seems part of it all.

And this girl, right? Looks like it to me...

I agree with CPO with possibly 2 exceptions that I'm not clinging unmercifully to anyway....


1. that the 2 chicks are 2 chicks. I'm totally willing to accept this - and that maybe it was just a case of once you see the illusion, you can't "not" see it. It just seemed it was the same girl and the face halves were switched. If it's one girl, not a problem. The same thing happened (at the same time) with the creepy demon thing between the faces. Brings to mind all the 911 photos of the devils in the clouds. So I can totally accept it was an optical illusion.

It's just hard as hell now "not" to see one girl split in two and a creepy demon monster hovering between them.


2. that it's not an arg, but just a viral campaign to promote the movie. I can accept that as well...were it not for the WHOIS info and the Albert Pike crosslink. It's one thing to make up a name on the registrant info to keep your identity safe(r) but this wasn't one of those cases. This was deliberate fiction and that's a standard MO for these games isn't it? Plus, the obvious point that Albert Pike has long since been dead makes me feel the reason both were linked by this bridge is that it has some relevance between both sites. They used this person and gave an actual address that relates to this person.

If all they were going for was a shill to not reveal who's behind it, they could've come up with anything that led nowhere. This leads to a real air center, a real monument, and is on two sites that basically tied up together on July 4 at the movie theater.

It could be a case that it was to get the clue out there that this is a rabbit hole and keep going, the same people are behind it supports that, and then there is more to it so pay attention to the other clues, such as Abrams' Henry and Kelvin and "Clover Field"....

That's a case of somebody setting out some breadcrumbs....and if it was viral, they could've just put the url on the credits and put up stills from the movie. No reason to cryptically lure people who wouldn't think to uncover it anyway but people who do this gaming regularly.


That being said, I noted before that with each reload a new position of the photos happens. Not sure if there was an easier way but I just snapped screen shots of each reload....and got to 30 *unique* positions before I fell asleep. I don't know if this is flash random generated in a code or if they had to place the images in these positions and then add coordinates (not a flash pro here)....but I am going to add a zip file of the 30 screens...and a folder of smaller 300x240 size that I also just put in order of appearance into an animation.

I kept thinking it was time related for some reason, like the positions might correlate to hands on a clock positions or some sort of sequence since there was a clue in the timestamp.

If it's nothing, oh well...

But again, none of this is just something arbitrary....it was on purpose so they're feeding us....something to chew on til a new update.

I don't know about you, but despite the creppy sound file ("Analysis completed!", maybe? Maybe that Haas effect thing?)and everything, stuff like the source screams fake (made with Dreamweaver XD). I guess it's to be expected when something like this comes out...

I'm creeped out by the first link-the HAAS effect!? it mentions something about listening to things through headphones....a hint?

Also, in Rob's photo, aside from the "9" appearing to be PSed in at the bottom right, there is a "2" in the E that appears PSed in.

I've been discussing with a friend the significance of the number "2". In Biblical numerics, "2" is the number of division.

Rob's Photo: 2+9=11; 1+1= 2
Release Date: 1+1+8+2+0+0+8=20; 2+0= 2

There are some inconsistencies elsewhere, but it's a thought.
