Cloverfield Project (aka 1-18-0Cool Title Being Released at San Diego Comic Con
Ken Tarallo, an fx specialist, is working on the JJ Abrams Cloverfield Project (now going by the moniker 1-18-0Cool. Ken mentions on his forum that the official name will be announced at the San Diego Comic Con. Bloody Disgusting reports that the trailer is up now on Apple's trailer page.

Apparently, that's in 2 weeks.

NOTE: I take absolutely no credit for this. Just conveying finds on the IRC channel. Very Happy

question on that...it states he made a post on june 14th about working on a project call cloverfield....shouldn't his website come up before now w/ all the searches we've all done about cloverfield?

It's not on the main site. It's in the message board, which is closed unless you register (Free). This means it wouldn't have shown up on your average Google search.

Some more about Humid Beings. It was created in 2001, far too early for the game. And it does seem to be, at the moment, OOG. However, if the ARG is being created as we speak, is it not possible that Humid Beings is in the process of being changed to be in-game in a matter of time. It is in the process of being updated.

Furthermore, the dot on the I in the Humid Beings logo looks very much like the mysterious circles that have been found on people's backs in the trailer.

ok, thinkin WAY outta the box...any chance those circles are remnents of the plugs that put people online in the Matrix? an after matrix movie? or maybe at the time when the "great war" started? big reach i know...but...crazier poop has happened, no?

Anyone have a screencap...That sounds like an interesting theory...not likely but interesting. It could be a reference to Metacortechs a Matrix ARG that has been mentioned on ARGN and on here as well. Could be a we're watching sort of thing.

i just tried doing a search for another text string of the same post (w/ the quotation marks) "starting on a new mysterious project"...and, tada, it went strait to this site, so yahoo searches should have picked this up long ago.

I registered at the http://www.frightstuff.com/ message board. You need to be manually approved by an admin. Once I do, I'll snoop around in there and see what I can find. Seems a likely place to find something.

San Diego Comic con

Hi guys, Ive been reading this forum since the trailer came out, but haven't posted yet (I'll get an actual account later this afternoon) but I had to pipe up at the mention of Comic Con - Abrams WILL be there, he has a few panels he'll be speaking at, and I've already got my four day pass (been planning this trip since october) and Im certainly going to make sure I sit through every one of his presentations. Especially one thats supposedly on the new Star Trek film, but wiht "a few surprises about other projects, as well"

also, has anyone considered that the SOL ITSELF could be "huge" and "alive," ala Ghostbusters 2? Highly imporabable, but hey, it doesnt hurt to think outside the box.

Good to know we'll have ppl on the ground at ComiCon (surprise, surprise).
Regarding the SOL, I think that the combination "It's alive! And it's huge!" can only refer to an unidentifiable creature that is very big. Without recognizing what it is, you simply state the most obvious things you see: It's alive! and It's huge!

In regards to "Are the girl(s) in the picture at the party or another location? Well zoom over to 39 seconds in the trailer and I believe that is her(one of them) sitting at the bar. It only shows her for a split second.

also is there a direct link that will open my IRC and lead me into the channel if it still exists because i can't join what was posted O_o

Which is why I think that IF this is ARG the sites will all be Flash, otherwise it would be too easy to play...

Something just hit me. forgive me if it's been suggested before but I'm working really hectic hours and reading all these pages takes a lot of time. BY the time I finished reading all this i would forget my idea. LOL.

What if the slusho music is a code? a mathmatical code or encryption, and 6 is the key?

this sort of thing has been done during war time to hide sensitive information in plain sight I wish I could find an example, but if anyone here really has an ear for music, notes ect.? then maybe someone with a good eye for codes and patterns code can try to read it.

I'm beginning to think slusho zoom is just their way of telling us to take a closer look at the page.

anyone watch smallville? remember when the kryptonian letters were on the anchient page, and it said to look deeper, so clark began to xray the page and found a map inside it.

perhaps something similar?

Hehe, anyone want to figure out what notes are playing? It's pretty damn repetitive. Should we expect Abrams to assume we have some sort of perfect pitch? Wink. I'm supposing the main melody. Also, the music did change slightly didn't it?

Sort of reminds me of that Lost episode and the keypad. Not much of a Lost fan but I just recall that Smile.

But there's nothing that suggests this movie has anything to do with religion or the apocalypse.

A pedantic note. Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is a group of religions that hold only one thing in common. They can differ wildly on fundamental points of dogma and even often use different Bibles.

Christianity is just as much a religion as any other. The same argument can be said for Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or Judaism.

Toxic industrys junk

Just kept bugging me. I anagramed ASS THAT FOUND from the letter to Harry Knowles and came up with "soda thats fun" and thought it related to the Slusho site pretty well.

Thinking along those lines I kept thinking of toxic industries and none other than Love Canal comes to mind when you think of New York. Hooker Chemical and Plastics Company was the company responsible but no longer exists, sorta. It's now Oxidental.

So, I typed in www. Hookerchemical .com and it's registered but has nothing on it. Did a Whois search and timed out twice....

still thinking.
