The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

I took a look-see at the source and it was on the up and up, nothing odd.

Pease forgive me for picking on you. I don't mean anything cruel in doing so. Accept it in the good spirit in which I offer it. Smile

This is a great example of what we've been talking about. Yes, the history says "Noriko loved libations". A "libation" is a drink poured out in offering to the Gods. There's even a Shinto (Japanese!) libation ceremony called "Miki". AHA, you might say. A clue! And you head over to your favorite search engine and start looking up stuff and trying to connect the "God" thing to what we've seen. Well, that big thing could be a God of the Deep. Lovecraft mentioned that the Great Old Ones, especially Cthulhu, was worshipped as a God by a cult. And one of his stories "The Horror at Red Hook" took place, in part, underground in Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York City. Red Hook, incidentally, is just southwest of both Liberty Island where the SOL is and Manhattan (draw a line from Liberty Island to Governor's Island, and if you extend it, it'll pass through Red Hook) Further research would show you that, while it's not specifically part of the Cthulhu cycle of stories by Lovecraft, Alan Moore liked it enough to borrow liberally from it for a graphic novel and story of his own. We've also seen that J.J. Abrams is a huge fan of Alan Moore, going so far as wanting very much to make a movie adaptation of Moore's Watchmen comics.

How likely is that, though. Where does it lead? What further clues does it reveal? Most importantly, how firmly does it tie into anything else we've found?

Now, it could be that this great little chain of stuff I just wrote up (all of it true, by the way) could end up being part of the game. But right now there's little basis for thinking it is beyond a chain of coincidences.

But consider this... "Libation" is also slang for any sort of drink, most often used to refer to alcoholic drinks. And the Slusho site is rife with bad English and misused words and phrases. Is it more likely that the word "libation" is something coughed out of a translation program or used by someone who has only a little understanding of English (Look at the "all your base..." translation from the Zero Wing game for a great example of bad translation)?

I think we have to use Occam's Razor here until we find a good reason not to.

JK - Actually, I too think it may be Cthulu. That was most of the earliest logical theories on the nets. If I have to tell you that I don't necessairly THINK it's about revelations one more time...

In fact - I have decided to give up the search. I never wanted to argue with anyone, adios friends. I don't even care what it is about anymore.

Actually when I type in (from blank) 01-18-08.com its a redirect to 1-18-08.com so that isn't the problem.

Oddly enough, the first paragraph mentions Paramount and how the Ten Commandments held the highest grossing Christian themed movie until the Passion of the Christ in 2004. Now the Passion is the Ace (numero uno) in the christ movie dept. Could Abrams be aiming at such a goal?

Now I am stretching it further and further, and will attempt to stop. FOr all our sakes.

Enough with the bible already you're grasping at straws, digging too deep. I suspect to find a link that you want to be there... where's the spagheti monster poster? bring him back instead!

there is another meaning to libation... look it up on wiki

I think for this purpose, libations means exactly what it means in context of the slusho site history....mixed drink. The history makes it clear from paragraph one that it's mixing ingredients for new drinks. I don't think it would have any other meaning.

I agree tho that it's vague what to do with the 1-18 site at this point. The only thing that is apparent is the timeline...where it's pointing is unclear. The best lead we have is slusho and while there's not been any character contact, it does have a story, characters, the missing info between never seen again and killed by beverage making business. Got locations and clues to how the ingredient is come by.

And they are updating it. Or changing it anyway.

At the risk of stirring up the number beasties again, yes there are 6 links...but I'm not ignoring the part that only 3 of those links go anywhere...so technically 3 links of any relevance which might make some people insist it's suggesting the biblical trinity, father, son, holy spirit - and please don't cause jeeezus - Shocked - feedback gets you an auto reply, downloads gets you nifty pics that contain nothing much hidden in them, and the history which is the story of slusho and obviously more relevant than happy talk and flavors.

Unless something comes of the audio it seems to me the plce we look closer at is the story....in real world terms.

Comic-Con?

I know I saw it posted somewhere, but I can't find it via the search - One of the Comic-Con programs will be a Paramount Pictures panel and J.J. Abrams will be there.

Is anyone on this board going to Comic-Con? If so it may be a good idea to be there. If not I'll ask some of my fellow comic nerds and see if they're going and if so if they would be willing to sit in.

Geez man, will you read the rest of the FREAKIN comment, all ur doin is tryin to take up space while he already said "Ive gone too far." I mean he's one of the only people here who didnt just talk about "clues" but actually researched them, Plus he IS the only person on this post who looked up Revelation based topic. So he didn't find any valid info, So What. At least he eliminated a fact from our table, something ive only known happen a few times on this post. WHY. because you and many other people on this forum refuse to look up info, instead just ridicule someone else for doing so.

Okay, time to refer to them by the "#th pic" on the site, to avoid this confusion from happening. Still only 3 pics folks.

I think you missed my entire point.

I know there's another meaning to "libation". I used the two most common ones in my earlier post. Using another one would be even more obscure.

We don't want to be obscure. There's no reason to be obscure. Obscure is bad right now. No obscure.
