I know I'm a guest, and so my opinion/help isn't highly looked upon, and I really don't feel like registering for another forum. Anyways...

About the other websites, you can tell which is connected by just looking at the page source, usually. (go to View and then click on Page Source, if it won't let you right click.)

Both the 1-1-08 site and the slusho site have this:

<script>

Keep that in mind when you think you might have found a site.

Okay, I've been going over the trailer again, frame by frame, in order to try to scrounge up more clues. I've discovered that the mystery picture that appears in-between the lights flickering and going out completely appears again earlier in the trailer, it's definitely not a TV; however it doesn't reveal any more details of what the picture is of.

There's another picture that appears during Rob's big entrance that someone could probably recognise/find out what it is of:
http://mysite.verizon.net/thebitingcat/painting-1.PNG

Above the door, next to the analog clock there's a thing - painting, whatever, that looks to say "Widig"
http://mysite.verizon.net/thebitingcat/widig.PNG
On a complete and total whim, I plugged in this:
http://widig.com/
and surprise, surprise, it actually worked! However, my japanese is not up to buff, and the site doesn't look game-related anyhow. But it came up, so I post this.

On that note, http://cheese.jp comes up too. Even says Yoshida at the top, but I doubt it's anything related to the game.

That's nothing, it's just Googles page tracking stuff.

Not trying to be rude here people, but if your knowledge of web technology is lacking please dont point out every little thing you find.

This site, http://ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com/ , posted on ethanhaas.org , says this:

"The great cycle, the beginning and the end, turns just as the plans of the gods turn once again to the world of men.

Also listen to the sound on http://www.ethanhaas.org/ , somebody says "he was right" in the background.

I thought all this stuff had been proved to be game-jacking and completely unofficial and unrelated.

Just more links to game-jacking websites. Nothing to see here, move along.

Check the WBM:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.anti-christ.com/

Just another site trying to cash in on the hype. And the Slusho.org site also links to 'sites that people have contacted me with regarding the trailer that my research has pointed to them being valid' even though we know they are fake.

EmmanuelGoldstein, I'm sorry that you don't find that as a helpful hint. I was simply making a point saying that maybe since both these sites have the google urchin tracking thing installed, then maybe we should look at that as a huge way to tell if its legit or not, just to cut down on the bullshit sites that are being posted.

If you didn't notice, Urchin isn't on every single site, and I haven't seen it on any of the pages that are posted where people go "omg I think this is connected!!!!111"

And, yes, I'm completely aware what the script does, considering I'm a web designer. Not trying to be rude here, but if you don't think before you speak, maybe you shouldn't put down people's helpful hints.

No offense, but if you're using Google Analytics to tell if a site is 'legit' or not, you got a few screws loose. The only reason the fakes dont have it is because they're too lazy to add it. The presence or the lack of it is not an indication either way. It'd be like me saying if you have brown hair you automatically like cheese, and if you're blonde you hate cheese.

Here ya go, i made you a site: http://www.thedarkcitadel.com/slusho.html It has google analytics and talks about slusho so it must be real.

Wow. You're completely missing the point. I'm not saying that ALL sites that use Google Analytics are affiliated with the film, I'm just saying that these two sites that we know of both have it. Thats a great way to find out which could be real and which couldn't. Obviously, the cheese.jp site and the Ethan Haas sites don't use it, so that marks them out. Its a great way to check if sites could be legit or not.

So to recap, since you're obviously simple minded.. if the site looks like it could be affiliated, check if it has the google analytics thing, and if it does, its worth a post. If it doesn't, maybe you shouldn't waste peoples' time.

Just a jump to the left...

Did we go BACK IN TIME this morning? All o' sudden we've got two pages of week-old faux clues. Crazy.

And just for the...schadenfreude in me, I guess, I hope all that in-depth biblical and assyrian stuff is right on the money, just because of how hard it was rallied against today. I just think that'd be fun.

I cant belive you guys Sad This thread was a pile o' fun and absolutely insane and exploding with positive energy going off in unimaginable directions.

Just let people be excited about this whichever way they want, would you. Why dictate what leads people are allowed to get worked up about? Why not follow the leads you find interesting and let others follow what they find interesting? The stuff you don't like? Ignore it.

All you are accomplishing right now is putting a lid on the excitement and the will to contribute and participate. Just.. don't.

And you guys who are getting flamed for pursuing "irrelevant" leads: Please stay here and post your findings. They are not more off target than most of the stuff in this godforsaken thread, and lots of people do want to hear about them.

(Sydney closes the cooler door and moves beside him in the cereal aisle.)

SYDNEY: Don't mention it. (shivers) That was cold. So, what's my move?

VAUGHN: Carry out your assignment. Get the documents. When you get back, make sure YOU are holding the stolen files. We'll execute two brush passes at the airport terminal.

(He gets a slushie.)

VAUGHN: First, one will take place at the gate. We'll intercept the materials and make a duplicate copy and then return them to you in a second pass to be executed at the airport curb.

SYDNEY: That's it?

VAUGHN: That's it. Want a Slusho?

SYDNEY: No, thank you.

VAUGHN: They're delicious.

SYDNEY: No, thanks. I said I was cold.

VAUGHN: (looks at her) Good luck.
