Don't know if this is helpful or not. Last night on #slusho a user came on and said "Slusho reminds me of fruity oaty bars." I had never heard of them before and I looked it up and you know some of it really does. I'm not saying they're connected but for some one more knowledgeable about them than me there might be a lead in there somewhere.

Maybe the new photo is ment to draw our attention to the guy on the left...now in the trailer at 1:35 we see two men running toward the camer..the first guy is closest to the camer..then the other runs toward the pavement..its this guy thats strange..hes clear of any cars and the SOL head when they pass..and yet he appears to have jumped really rather high..which got me thinking about people in the movie having powers and maybe this could be a Heroes movie? bit random i know but just a thought!

I think that guy jumped off the hood of a vehicle.

Well, the Fruity Oaty Bar was a fictional product used in the movie Serenity. It had a subliminal message in it that made one the characters go on a rampage. I have no idea how they figured out that it had a message in it (it was mostly glossed over in the movie), but it could be a nod towards that.

I cant belive you guys Sad This thread was a pile o' fun and absolutely insane and exploding with positive energy going off in unimaginable directions.

Just let people be excited about this whichever way they want, would you. Why dictate what leads people are allowed to get worked up about? Why not follow the leads you find interesting and let others follow what they find interesting? The stuff you don't like? Ignore it.

All you are accomplishing right now is putting a lid on the excitement and the will to contribute and participate. Just.. don't.

And you guys who are getting flamed for pursuing "irrelevant" leads: Please stay here and post your findings. They are not more off target than most of the stuff in this godforsaken thread, and lots of people do want to hear about them.

It mainly comes from the fact that this thread is 186 pages. Which makes it entirely impossible for somebody to catch up on what is being discussed when you get things like "OMG he's wearing a blue shirt, he must work for the CIA!" that go off on a complete tangent which is the main reason why it's 186 pages instead of a nice concise, thorough few dozen pages.

iI dont understand why it is that a popular thread becomes a moan fest about its popularity.. So people are throwing random Ideas out there, but, guess what? Thats how you solve a puzzle like this.

Precisely...

Came back for a quick read and I must say that a few of you have no idea how a think tank works.

RULE NUMBER ONE - THERE ARE NO BAD IDEAS OR CLUES OR HINTS OR TRAILS...

You explore ALL options and GLADLY welcome all views no matter the level of seemless irrelevance. The ideas are made up of words. Words spark new ideas and concepts...Getting all of this?

Every time someone posts a 'bad' idea in your eyes, move past it and work on your own. Most likely it sparked SOMEONES imagination and sends them off on a tangent of their own.

For example:

Someone with a life posted new pic on 1-18-09!

Then someone wth no life replied:

Welcome to yesterday...

Wow, truly expressive, supportive and informative reply to let someone know they are a tad (ONE FRIGGIN DAY) behind.

GET SOME PERSPECTIVE AND REALIZE THAT though you may have spent the last 56 hours straight on the boards, that the MAJORITY OF PEOPLE HERE did not.

/rant off

Now - Yes I posted many things about the revelatoins links, and thanks for all the friendly PMS that GREATLY OUTWEIGHT the few idiots (who stick out like a sore thumb and I hope they think about that one day soon) who take up ACTUAL REAL TIME AND EFFORT to post how someone elses posts doesn't 'fit' here....

I'm either surrounded by youngsters here, or us adults are being too kind and non-responsive to these few that push away new people, ideas, or links or clues.

YOU WANT CLUES THAT ARE RELEVENT?

Henry Kelvin is the owner of 1-18-08.com
I know this is old news but its a CLUE.
Henry and Kelvin were names from Lost that had something to do with each other (i have read, butnever saw any abrams stuff myself)

Do something with that and lt slusho go for a second, you are pigeoholing yourselves. I will crunch some time on slusho later as I have not yet had any time to search thoroughly. Due to people's requests I will continue to help, and I will continue to express all thoughts on any clues trials I find.

Like a good team mate does...

PS - anyone who thinks that Slusho was found in the trailer in the theaters and NOT afterward in stills is not paying attention to the internetz enuf.

Ok, I have delved into slusho a bit.

Not the site, but the whois.
Many people have noted that Satoshi has been listed as the registrant to slusho.com but his contact info is directed to the networksolutions.com site and not his personal email etc.

So I searched slusho.jp registry and found that jp wasnt searchable per godaddy or allwhois or whois.

Found whois.jp - then found a translator site to read it(which I will now do with the slusho site after this), and read that Satoshi registered the japan site of slusho on JUNE 27, 07 - but the .com was made MAY 4, 07. Not sure why.

But we finally found real contact info as he didnt think wed go this far. He registered with this email which is not done privately thru the domain company like it was done with the .com one.

Alright, that is it, i've had it. NO ONE IS TELLING PEOPLE NOT TO POST THEIR SPEC!!!!!! We were simply trying to clean up ONE thread by encouraging NEW threads to open with spec ideas. AND ONCE you open a secon thread, stop cross posting.

TKAR- DO NOT DOUBLE AND TRIPLE POST!!! it is such a huge pet peeve of a lot of regulars. You may not realise it being newer to the boards, but realy man, you have an "edit post" button so you can add to your post. If your post is too long for one post and it won't LET you post then yeah, by all means do a continuation post.

There isn't anything going on right now, of course we are going to spec, I personally encourage spec... but yes, this thread is FAR too long and confusing, and NO, no one is bitching about it being "popular" we are btiching about it being cluttered. Threads branch off once they get moved to ARGs with Potential. LOOK AROUND THE FORUMS!!!!
have a good time, stop fighting... really. those of you who complained that the not so new users were picking on newbies - maybe they aren't picking so much as asking you to follow some unspoken forum etticates.

Sorry I skipped your post, it didnt seem relevant to my search.

Anywho - whoever said there was no link between sephora and cloverfield obvisouly didnt see that cloverfield set up a fake sephora store that isnt really at that address for filming, and their permit was shown on youtube in full.

But tht is all, just a heads up on that one. I dont think theres a link, but if you were searching thats the only one so far.

Here is your prblem, the way I see it:

Instead of replying to the post I made with ideas and clues and BRAND NEW CONTACT INFO YOU WONT FIND ON ANY OTHER FORUMS YET for sotoshi, you reply to the one that sholdnt even be replied to. The one that says lets move on...

This is a test - lets see who fails again

PS - Three posts for three phases - so that they were deliberately separated. I have to go for now bt someone please look into this:

Dead Ends

As with everyone else who is relatively new at this, apologies if this has been covered. I've read about 80 pages and run an unforum search in every parameter I can think of, so if this has been posted before I apologize.

On a lark, I tried a bunch of random emails to 1-18-08.com. All of these bounced, but maybe an experienced ARG player will be able to figure a variant I wasn't able to. What I tried was:

robSPLAT1-18-08.com
jjSPLAT1-18-08.com
jj.abramsSPLAT1-18-08.com
drewSPLAT1-18-08.com
drew.goddardSPLAT1-18-08.com
adminSPLAT1-18-08.com
webmasterSPLAT1-18-08.com

Like I said, nothing but bounces. If nothing else, maybe this'll save folks some time.
