Who marks up a map like that? A lot of the information is obliterated...what's your theory Tkar? Smile

Not what I thought it was.

All i see is 777, or 3 and 7, or nothing at all for now. But make sure you post every thought you have, because no matter how cluttered this thread is we are one of the best sites out there team-wise if you look around.

I really think we are giving up on the 1-18-08 pics. Either they are a trail, or there is no game yet Sad

The map marks look like Japanese symbols.

Hate to backtrack if this is one... I've always just lurked ARGs. 200 pages later and I'm skipping about 100 pages of chatter...

Again, sorry if this is already hashed out.

Do we know anything about http://slushozoom.com/ ?

Yes, and we know it's bunk. Best just to read this thread to catch up.

I know you want to baby....I know it got up in ya....

What if he's making his very own reality(once again) that clashes all the doomsday ligteratures together? Could this mean that the doomsday clock is indeed a factor as well? Perhaps not but there are too many religious tie-ins and anyone ignoring 63 degrees at midnight NO MATTER HOW CLOSE TO THE RECORD HIGH IT IS FOR NOON OF THAT DAY, is really not a great clue finder at all imo.

How are 1-18-08.com and Transformer's Sector Seven ARG intrinsically tied together? How did the Masonic path play out in the Transformers S7 arg? What did S7 have to do with Pike?

If you're gonna walk down this path looking, then remember - and include - your point of origin....same info is included in the S7 arg.

Why?

When you find that answer, then you can step down the trail with reason.

EDIT: Promises to catch up before replying, however it will help other people.

So far, I don't see any religious tie-ins at all; those that I've heard come from one of two sources:

1) Numerology. I'm a Mathematics major... if you're using manipulation of numbers as a basis for a religious reference, I can make the Wall Street Journal stock page read better than the King James Bible, provided I had the time.

Numbers can be manipulated in an infinite amount of ways to make them what YOU want to make them. Now, manipulate those numbers and tangibly use them, that's another matter. If you work the numbers enough to unlock a page or reveal something not seen before, sure, but don't pull numbers out of your ass and claim they have religious implications because your calculator said so.

2) Ethan Haas and Mind Storm Labs: They're making an angels/demons game, apparently, as has been seen by artwork posted on forums months ago and by the wording on their own sites. I feel that EHWR/Mind Spring Labs/Triton Enterprises are an ARG in and of themselves, but I have not found a direct, undisputable link between them and Cloverfield.

*EDIT* Corrected "Mind Storm"...

Slusho has to lead somewhere...

No one has found anything substantial from slusho yet?
There's to be a hidden message there somewhere.
Anyone know anything about Japanese mythology?
Is the cups pattern a cypher? 4,11,13,14?
The clue has to be in the text of the site.

Slusho Text

THe history pages have the most clues yet to be figured out...
the english is broken which could be mimicing bad japanese to english translation, but often when messages are buried in text... the word have to follow a pattern in order for the key to work, to make the hidden message work the sentence structure or words used can seem off in order to fit the key.

We haven't figured out the key.

And it's blatantly obvious that the oven mitt and swiss cheese are clues... and at the same time frustratingly vague.

Compare it to a NYC transit map. Some of the markings SEEM to track subway lines, buit not quite.

Heeey... Anyone think about "The Dunwich Horror"? I'm a fan of Lovecraft, and though I haven't read the story, it's about a giant invisible monster. The main downside here is that it's... invisible.

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if Abrams somehow screwed around with Lovecraft mythos to find some loophole allowing it to be visible. I think the Horror becomes visible near the end of the book, described as the following.

Quote:
'Oh, oh, my Gawd, that haff face - that haff face on top of it... that face with the red eyes an' crinkly albino hair, an' no chin, like the Whateleys... It was a octopus, centipede, spider kind o' thing, but they was a haff-shaped man's face on top of it, an' it looked like Wizard Whateley's, only it was yards an' yards acrost...'

They kill it in the end, of course, but... it could be a "reimagining" of the original, or a descendant of Whatley or something. Lovecraft was always into that "atavistic guilt" sort of thing.

Granted, I'm grasping at straws, but... it's something, right?

Personally, I think it's very possible that this could be simply an original monster movie - something abnormal in the Age of Remakes, Reimaginings and Rehashes.

Lovecraft

Why wouldn't a Lovecraft monster be alive?

I believe Marty was pointing out the fact that if it was an INVISIBLE monster, "It's alive it's huge" guy wouldn't have SEEN it.
