 		The myspace page is a gamejack, it wasn't there a few days ago when I search for wellmissyourob, wolfmother (to check their friends list, just in case), and some other random phrases from the trailer.

 		okay-so just to clarify-in an arg all things are a game jack if the date the page is made is after the date the game started?

so all these websites we have yet to find were already created 6 months and then some before the movie?

 		the myspace is definitely a fake.

Compare Mike Vogel's (actor playing Rob) IMDB picture to the picture on the myspace page posing as a going away flyer for Rob.
I've seen a lot of movies Mike Vogel has been in, and the guy in the going away party flyer on the Myspace is NOT the same guy.

No, not necessarily. It's common speculation that this was never intended to be an ARG, but once the creators saw how into it the fans are- decided to make it up as they want along. It's very possible for IG websites to have been created recently,
it's just obvious that a lot of these websites created after all the hype are just gamejacks.
If it's true that the creators are making this up as they go along, it's going to be harder to tell the real from the fake. It's just more believable when the websites were created before the trailer was released.

 		If this is an ARG, that's moving in real time with our reality, it's possible that stuff put up after the initial trailhead discovery is IG. How long in advance would you plan a going away party for a friend of yours???

 		Well, it depends, if I decide "Damn, I'd better get out of town before the big monster incinerates me and the whole city. Gotta leave tomorrow!" there's not a whole lot of time at all.

I still like the idea that Rob knows *something* about what's going on. He's not freaking out; he seems... well... inconvenienced.

Depends the language... Best bet, albeit an amusing one sometimes, is Babelfish.

If you're talking about http://www.uruloki.org/felipeblog/ , that site's in Spanish (which I know), and is simply a news site. Doesn't say anything we don't already know.

Forgive me...
...If this has been posted, but I searched the forums and didn't see anything.

Today I was Googling for "rob's going away party january 18th 2008" and I ended up here:

Reading through the comments I found someone's idea of this RPG called Parasite Eve being possibly involved. I thought it was interesting that on the official site there is a image of her in front of the SOL and in the game story line a lot of major action (including explosions galore) take place near the SOL. I don't know French fluently, but it looks to me like pretty much the same thing.

Parasite Eve's been around for a long time. Heck, my computer's wallpaper is an image of her.

Don't think there's a connection. Besides, considering their last major attempt didn't go particularly well, I don't see Square doing motion pictures any time soon.
