I've been thinking about the trailer some more, since we have no real leads to go on. Just thinking about things like how the statue of liberty's head makes it to 401 broadway. We can assume that it's carried near to there and then thrown, but there's another way, which would make the monster's true size and strength greater than even the folks at TOHO could conceive.

Start at Liberty Island, where Mister Parasite Monster is seriously pissed about dethawing from some frozen slurpee goo or something. So you're roaring and looking for something to take out your anger on before starting a rampage of destruction through a highly populated metropolitan area. And there's the statue of liberty.

So, the monster rips the entire statue off of its base, and throws it bottom-first towards the lower east side. The statue is bottom-heavy, so it will follow a ballistics trajectory bottom-first. It flies about 3.2 miles northeastward until it lands and hits the west side of a large building approximately at Williams Street and Ann Street; the sudden stopping force of the body and inertia and centrifugal forces within the head shear it off of the body, and giving it a high spin. The head also crashes into the side of the same building, but because of its lesser mass it does less damage to the building face and richochets off the side at the reverse angle it hit at with a new trajectory that sends it careening towards 401 Broadway, crashes into the side of that building which has magical exploding properties, richochets with the same reverse angle that puts it landing a few blocks down on Broadway, then magically teleports to Orchard Street in the last few frames.

Addititionally, and based on pure speculation, the site of the explosion that occurs in the trailer is most likely in the old World Trade Center location. I base this off of the estimated position of the building Rob was on top of, assuming he exits the same building at the end of the trailer; on the buildings immediately surrounding the explosion; and the ability to have shot an explosive projectile from near Liberty Island without other buildings obstructing the shot. Some may believe I'm trying to prove something by placing the explosion here, some might believe Abrams is trying to prove something. I think it's more fortunate that an explosion would occur here rather than anywhere else in the city, since the loss of life and property would be significantly less in this case.
