 		So yeah, this is prolly nothing at all, but I was sort of intrigued by its whole "creation" theme. It made me think of creating a monster, and the web address is consistent with the movie, so here goes nothing...

It IS alive and it IS huge...
Well, I've been up and down this forum forwards and sometimes backwards and I have to say it's been fun. I think a good mystery healthy for the brain. However, I'd have to agree with some on here that the mystery can't possibly be as complicated as some of the leads I've tracked on here. It's got to be something that an average gamer would be able to piece together on a smarter day (if you know what I mean).

At the same time if you look at it from a gaming perspective you know that puzzles are comprised of pieces. The pieces themselves rarely ever seem important until you put them in the context of the other pieces and how they relate to one another. To me it seems like we're spending a lot of man hours taking each piece and trying to form another puzzle out of it. So I started looking at how all the things relate to one another.

Let's say for instance Slusho in and of itself isn't important, maybe that's just the medium used to deliver the clues. Let's say each picture on the 1-18-08 webpage doesn't necessarily contain clues in them but are part of a clue in and of themselves. We know they establish a timeline. At 1201 they're partying, at 1236 two people are gazing up in what looks more like awe than absolute terror (I personally think they're seeing the creature as it passes by them), at 1248 it's already passed and there's just wreckage and fires everywhere. It doesn't look like they're running so much as trying to get out of the smoke. You probably woudln't take the time to cover your face if a monster was chasing you. So maybe that's what's important there.

Then on the slusho site the most referenced thing there is Whales and references to growing large like whales.

Then on the trailer of course there's the roar which has been related to whale song, the line which anagramed has led to the word Leviathan, and the explosion (which is a ridiculous explosion by any means, it's like a thousand feet high).

Of course the hard part is forming all these parts into some kind of general image and it's likely that we won't get the full image until more clues are available. But based on what we have there's got to be something at least partially visible to be made out.

Let's say it's a giant whale or something whale like (Leviathan even) massive enough to topple Liberty Island like it's nothing. If it appeared in the water apparently lifeless and just sat there for a while not moving (Think the Island in Baron Munchausen that turned out to be an Angler Fish) then I don't think anyone would know what to make of it. After all, something that big would probably just look like a small land mass. And that would explain why someone felt the need to exclaim "It's Alive!"

Also in reference to whales, that explosion is exploding upward. If it was a super massive undersea creature with something similar to a blow whole and it started burrowing through the city if it released something upward that was ignitable and it caught fire it could cause an explosion that big. It could also account for the flying SOL head.

Also somebody pointed out that there aren't any kind of footsteps. Something that large would be causing glasses of water to tremble all over the city. And an earthquake could be a sign of burrowing (or flying... but somehow I don't think so). Of course, then you might say well the earthquake stopped, well, following this line of thinking so did the monster, then there was an explosion and I think when they're running down the stairs there's another earthquake which could mean it was on the move again...

But that all lends itself to a Super Massive Monster with proportions pretty much unheard of in movies. It could probably swallow the American Godzilla...

Or maybe my imaginations just a little out of control because of the lack of any kind of proportion reference.

Sorry that was long but it's a culmination of like two weeks of office discussion and everything I've read from a 218 page forum...

Also, in case nobody's tried it or is considering it, I noticed that the background at the slusho site is symetrical so I printed the wallpaper and folded it a couple of different ways to see if I could pull something out of it.

I got nothing.

... oh and again, as a puzzle anything officially released should probably be counted as a piece. Like the creature's nickname is THE parasite. Indicating that it's just one... so I don't think it's going to be several...

 		I understand the point but, I'm still not COMPLETELY convinced that the trailer doesn't have footfalls. IF It's stride is large enough and, in order to be large enough, It's mass is great enough, It would come across as small Earthquakes! That is what early news reports are saying in the trailer.

The whooshes could be caused by air flow through the neck hole of the statues head. Two rotations before it hits would cause the two whooshes.


have any of your ever been to the statue of liberty? the head is a highly ventalated part of it, the air, particle debris flowing threw it and force by which it was thrown or tossed, would cause it to vibrate or resonate.

in the crown are windows to look out from. have you ever swung a metal pipe or other type of metal around really fast? ever hear the sound it makes? it starts to resonate, that sound was the resonating sound of the copper.

A stride like that would have to be miles wouldn't it? And if it were walking above ground with THAT kind of stride wouldn't it break the skyline and be illuminated by the explosion?

We're talking about the New York skyline, here! When we look back at most of the movie monsters of the past, (King Kong climbing the Empire State Building, Godzilla smashing a tank, ETC...) These monsters are STILL within the realm of being able to go UNSEEN within the New York. Let's just say that, for the sake of argument, the impression left on the SOL head is IN FACT a handprint, rather than damage from being thrown....(This would be the impression Producers would try to create, when doing a "Trailer".) How BIG would that creature HAVE TO BE??? I haven't "Crunched the Numbers" yet, but on first impression, IT would stilll be able to go UNSEEN by the naked eye in the New York Skyline.
