Big But Not Epic
Meh

Awww... well after a bit of work time research I learned the Statue of Liberty is only a little over 100 feet tall. Which is a little dissappointing really. In any event, I was looking forward to a creature of epic proportions. A T-Rex is pretty big, Godzilla is BIG, but I was thinking of something that swallows common giant monsters whole.

That rules out a lot of these God Creatures that can be related to mountains. A mountain doesn't break the skyline, it creates it...

ah well... I was thinking EPIC, block out the sun, this is it, grab the kids, hold your wife, say your prayers big...

Snowboards

Already checked it out! The letters themselves only associate with military grade weapons. If you convert them into "Greek Alphabet" they lead to a group of people associated with collegiate recognition. (Which makes sense, since the item its printed on APPEARS to be a Fraternity Paddle!) The only SEMI STRANGE thing about it is that the group originally began as a "Black" group.

Shouldn't we be concerned with the recent article describing that it's an alien attack on New York, not some sea beast?

Don't have much faith in what the crew might have told a carnie. Hell, they told the actors during the teaser shoot to imagine a giant foot, didn't they?

Is the New York Post a reliable source? I thought it was like the Enquirer. However I would love a Coney Island scene. Very Happy

I seriously think we are all getting our hopes up about this movie and this supposed ARG. First: This monster/s wont be anything special. In fact, I have a feeling that becuase of the films budget you'll never see exactly whats attacking the city. Becuase it would probably look like crap. Unless, of course, Neill Blomkamp was working on the picture. He does some of the best CG I have ever seen:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNReejO7Zu8&mode=related&search=

And second, I (and I'm sure I'm not alone) have gone practically insane trying to figure this bastard out. I've reached so far for clues I've pulled my arm out of the socket. There's only one conclusion that I can draw...this isnt an ARG !!!
I wish they would just come out and tell us so we can go on with our lives.

It sounds to me that the "alien" description was from a nobody extra or observer.

I tend to agree with "Snake" only because, I'm so much interested in the monster, as I am if there IS an ARG involved!

a quick note...

The scope of the monster REALLY may not be major basis of the film. Green Lantern was capable of creating ALMOST anything of almost any size with his ring, the Dragonball characters were capable of creating this kind of devastation, yet they looked HUMAN! "The Guyver" STILL doesn't have a limit to his power! This whole thing isn't conducive to the game! (If there is ONE!)

I'm not too sure at this point, lol, but if we think globally, at the time of the noises explosions etc in New York, Japan is half a day into 1-18-08

Something to keep in mind - for game or movie. Considering it's pretty well out in the open this is being presented by way of seeing various footage of cameras recording the events of 1-18, after it's gone down, the monster itself may not even be considered the star player - but the ones the cameras belong to...who are all apparently dead now. Unless there is other stuff on the film from earlier that begins to allude to the monster, (like Rob going to work for Slusho, etc), then it's being shown from their perspective only - not the monster.

And it may well happen that they make this open ended when it's all said and done and never really explain what it is, where it came from, what happened to it, etc. That open question could pull a game really well...if ya think about it....

It's Godzilla...sorry to disappoint. Sorry. There testing out "PyroMarketing" with a low-budget film to see if it's the new wave; thus all the internet interaction...what they call "tinder."

Sorry.
